Found Military Style Backpack Chinns Lake Trail Sunday Aug 28

Please excuse if this isn't the best place to post this.
I found a Molle Assault Pack next to the trail Sunday. I believe it was left by people camping at the top of the trail. Nothing to ID owner inside, but based on contents they are part of the shooting community. Hopefully a member here:

No longer have the bag, dug a little deeper to see if I could find something to ID the owner. Instead I found a loaded XD-40 and extra mag buried in a pocket. So I turned it over to the local PD. Hopefully someone reported the gun lost or stolen and will get it back.
