Not sure if anyone saw the news on the Lord of the Flies remake with a all female cast. Call it what you want but this could have great potential.

There is already a 1990's remake of the 1963 original.
Can't Hollywood come up with something new, instead of remaking older movies ?
I'm really getting tired of the remakes with change in sex of cast. I'm not a fan of remakes in general, even less so if the remake is agenda driven.
Hollyweird seems to be out of ideas.

I'm skeptical they can pull this off into something I'd be interested in.
I love the comment, "women would never act like that."
BUWAHAHAHAHAHA !!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Women would make the boys look like saints...

That in itself is a sexist comment.

Like.
Ok. Now this is pretty funny. If sexist stereotypes and mild profanity don't offend you.

From what I recall of WWII history, absolutely the most brutal prison guards were the women guards. Women will do things that make even the meanest guy just cringe.

It was also a novel published in 1954. But yeah, there's tons of books and screenplays written every year but we're stuck with mostly sequels and remakes ... Hollywood is lazy (but what would you expect from a bunch of liberals)

Interesting
When I was in English class in High School, 63 or 64, we read Lord of the Flies.
Our teacher expounded on the meanings and interpretations and we had to write an essay reflecting her views.
I found a quote by William Golding and included it in my essay:
William Golding came to dislike Lord of the Flies: "boring and crude. The language is O-level stuff" was his verdict.
And, he added that there was no hidden symbolism. Just an attempt by teachers to add a moral.
Needless to say, the teacher told me to re-write the essay in order to get a passing grade.
Still remember that lesson.

Remakes typically suck IMO.

Just skip to ~10:00.
They would not show what women would really do in a situation like that. "Women would never act like that..." Hah! To paraphrase Henlein, "If captured, don't let them give you to the women."
I went to that 'return of kings' website... love it!

If you're unarmed you are a victim

I do not endorse that website. It's one of the few to tell the truth a few times and the big one about the accidental experiment is important.
