I will soon have a fully assembled Ruger Precision Rifle in 6.5CM (waiting on scope mount) and I'm cleared hot for a 30 cal can.
It's been a while since I've purchased my last two (556 and 22) so it's time to hit the interwebs for some research.

But that doesn't stop me from asking the locals.

I want something I can swap between my RPR and an AR10 so I'll want something that can be clamped/threaded onto a muzzle device for each gun.
AR10 has a 18.5 medium weight Criterion match barrel.

I did see OSS at an out of state match a while ago and was impressed. Initially google tells me its about the high end of my price range. I'm also easily distracted with shinny new things which is only tempered by the fact that in the end I ask for opinions and try to do as much research as I can.

Hit me with some of the latest and greatest options to go between the two guns (but it will probably live on the RPR) in that price range or lower.

7 works but I'd rather be quieter and would go 9

They work and their customer service is as good as it gets .

They're good. Their owners are in the South Wyoming/Colorado shooting community -- it would not be unusual for them to be in a match squad with any one of us; many of us have shot with them at Raton and other events. The company was borne out of a desire for better products and delivers on its reason for existence. They are tuned in to shooter needs, being shooters themselves. Designs are needs driven, not .gov contract requirements that get passed on to the shooting public.

With the RPR so long, consider the Ultra 5. I own a lot of cans and hardly use any but the Ultra 5 now.

For a commercial can
TBAC Ultra 7 for the semi or 9, if you want that extra suppression for both. I have a U7 that works nicely on both a 308 & 6.5.

The bottom line is what you feel reduces the Db better for your needs. There's suggestions for the U9, however the 7 worked on my RPR. No matter what, you'll experience a different Db lever with a semi, due to the system.
