Magnet fishing. After hearing stories of all those boating mishaps I may have to take up the sport.
Father and Son Find Guns (https://www.gunsamerica.com/blog/british-father-and-son-find-dozens-of-guns-fishing-with-magnets/?utm_source=email&utm_medium=20170915_FridayDigest_139g&utm_campaign=/blog/british-father-and-son-find-dozens-of-guns-fishing-with-magnets/)
I watch some YouTube videos from time to time where a guy does a bunch of magnet fishing. He pulls up all kinds of stuff. Quite a few guns. Civil war era, stuff from prohibition days, etc. of course he also gets lots of scrap metal, pieces of rebar, nails, etc.
But those guns are illegal in the UK!

I remember reading on another board that a Sheriff's Deputy in the South was on patrol when he noticed a dark shadow in a creek just off the bridge that he had not seen before. Arousing his suspicions, he investigated and discovered a pristine Japanese Type 92 Heavy Machine Gun with tripod. The gun not a perfect of rust on it yet, indicating it's watery grave was just a day or two old at the most. The estimation is that somebody found Grandpa's attic war trophy and panicked.
