So, I was out testing some loads on the chronograph last week, and I had some interesting results. With the suppressor (AAC-SD) on my 20" 308 (Savage 10FCP-SR), I was getting an 85fps spread (10 shots) some of which were surging on the fast side, which I thought was strange; without the can it was down to 21fps and very predicable. My loads were 168 AMAX on 43.6 Varget (trickle/weighed) .020 off the lands in fire formed Remmington cases neck sized.

I was just wondering if any of you were loading for suppression, and I didn't know if this was typical for suppression. I was wondering if there are better load combinations/powders such as using a little faster powder like H4895, heavier/lighter bullets, etc. I do have some loads worked up with H4895 and 150gr soft points that seemed very consistent out to 600 suppressed, but I didn't have those with me the day of the chronograph tests.
