View Full Version : Something is wrong with me
I got up early, made coffee, ate, cleaned off the cars that sit outside and drove in to work, got there early, got some coffee and settled in.
8:30 rolls around and nobody's there... oh F me, it's a holiday... (Outside the Post Office who gets Columbus Day off anyway??? Not that I'm complaining.)
Sometimes I truly do wonder if I'm okay.

^ Should be a quiet day at work then !!! [Coffee]
I'd actually have a chance to get work done if that happened to me.

I've got the day off. I'm one of those and not a bank or post office employee. :P
I’d make sure and charge them for your time since you went in today.

Most employers won’t let you charge time for your own brain farts....

I’m sure the company is at fault so they should have to pay him for his time. I mean they obviously didn’t make it clear to one of their employees that today was a holiday.
Or, maybe said employee isn’t the sharpest crayon in the box?
And, on a more serious note, we had an employee do the same thing on one of our Monday holidays. He came all the way in and couldn’t figure out why he was the first one there that day. And he is one of our engineers.

Yeah, I'm hoping for double time... like that's gonna happen.

I did what you're talking about once before, I was a lot younger then, but I woke up "late", and hauled ass down to work. I was opening the gate to the lot when I realized......
It was Sunday.

I had the day off too. But I always have Mondays off.....
Still checked the mailbox though.
