Harvey Weinstein responds to sexual harassment report by attacking NRA, President Trump (https://www.washingtontimes.com/news/2017/oct/5/harvey-weinstein-responds-sexual-harassment-report/)
Holy re-direct, Batman.
Hey, don't look at me, look over there!
Movie mogul Harvey Weinstein (https://www.washingtontimes.com/topics/harvey-weinstein/) was the subject of a New York Times expose Thursday detailing decades of sexual coercion and harassment charges against him.
He responded by attacking the National Rifle Association (https://www.washingtontimes.com/topics/national-rifle-association/) and President Trump.
Mr. Weinstein (https://www.washingtontimes.com/topics/harvey-weinstein/) released a statement to the New York Times, which the paper posted (https://www.nytimes.com/interactive/2017/10/05/us/statement-from-harvey-weinstein.html) in its entirety, in which the Oscar-winning producer and Hollywood fixture since the late 1980s acknowledged fault, though he partially contextualized it, saying “I came of age in the 60’s and 70’s when all the rules about behavior and workplaces were different.”
His statement said he would work on becoming a better man, but also that he needed “a place to channel that anger” and suggested a target that would appeal to liberal Hollywood.
“I’m going to give the NRA (https://www.washingtontimes.com/topics/national-rifle-association/) my full attention. I hope Wayne LaPierre will enjoy his retirement party,” he said, referring to the gun-rights group’s CEO and longtime executive vice president.
The relationship of the NRA (https://www.washingtontimes.com/topics/national-rifle-association/) to sexual harassment was not explained.
The NRA (https://www.washingtontimes.com/topics/national-rifle-association/) did not immediately provide an official comment to The Washington Times on Mr. Weinstein (https://www.washingtontimes.com/topics/harvey-weinstein/)’s attack on its group, but spokesperson Dana Loesch did snicker on Twitter.
“LOL I think you have your hands full, Harvey (https://www.washingtontimes.com/topics/harvey-weinstein/),” she tweeted (https://twitter.com/DLoesch/status/916021780170592256).
Mr. Weinstein (https://www.washingtontimes.com/topics/harvey-weinstein/)’s statement continued to attack conservatism as a shield, going on to say that he’d also go after someone perhaps even less popular in Hollywood than the NRA (https://www.washingtontimes.com/topics/national-rifle-association/).
“I’m making a movie about our President. Perhaps we can make it a joint retirement party,” he said.
Even some liberal critics were scratching their heads at the statement.
“This is not the statement of someone who understands what he’s done. ‘I’m sorry, but this [s—t] used to be okay, and also please watch my new movie,’” Samuel Adams of Slate wrote over two tweets.

What a douchebag.
Did he masturbate in front of one of those too?
You know hollywood elite will agree with him. They are all on board with child porn, molestation, drug abuse, director couch interviews with sex in order to get a job etc. They are in league with politicians and all are sexual deviants. They glorify rape, murder, guns and then show what hipocrits they are by demanding change to the very things they act out on screen. Now how convient for him to place blame on the NRA after
the horrific current events. Only rational minds can see what’s happening, unfortunately there is a shortage of that in America right now. It is truly pathetic that anyone with sense watches Hollywood’s films and adores them like they adore themselves. We must stand with pro gun organizations in order to keep our freedoms even in times we may not agree fully with them, they are the voice for us.

Now that he is off the hollywood elite protected list; it is just a matter of time before someone finds something on this
douchebag. that is really bad.
I can't wait.

All you need to do is look at the acclaim they STILL give Roman Polanski to see where Hollywood falls on Weinstein's bad behavior. They're only condemning it now because it's been exposed to the public. Hillary Clinton only came out today saying she was "shocked" and "appalled" at the allegations -- FOUR DAYS after they were publicly outed. Matt Damon, Jimmy Kimmel ... tons of celebrities still haven't said one word about Weinstein despite having volumes of false things to say about Trump, Bannon, Hannity, etc.

New movie coming out..."Casting Couch".
What a conveniently timed distraction from the unraveling of the LV Shooting timeline and the implications it has for the narrative not being what they said.

He's done for. They are already removing his name from all the movie / show credits he was involved with. Actresses are coming forth by the truckload. His own people (Hollywood) are throwing him under the bus. It's great to watch one of them crash and burn in such glorious fashion. He was one of the top tier douchbags, and he has shown how they are all such hypocrites. This won't go to trial. I'm guessing he will eliminate the problem before it gets there. Him being the problem.

Wrong on so many levels. And I'm not white knighting, she deserves to speak however wrong she is (and I don't think she is on Weinstein, Affleck, Damon, etc...).
Libs thought they were building a just democracy. They've been building a Oligarchy and you can't touch an oligarch. This is why Clinton was supposed to win. We tried to tell you... You called us racist.
Interesting seeing the ways faux feminists have aided and abetted over the years. Reading more about how everyone knew right up to actresses being expected to go to his hotel room and perform. Most decided they wanted to be stars and millionaires instead of decent people. Our betters.

All these celebs coming out now and saying how surprised they are.
Reminds me of the scene from Casablanca:

Pretty much the oldest story in Hollywood, isn't it?
"Hey, Sweetheart, you may be pretty and talented, but there are a hundred girls just as pretty and just as talented on the other side of that door. If you want this part you have to show me how badly you want it."
What a conveniently timed distraction from the unraveling of the LV Shooting timeline and the implications it has for the narrative not being what they said.
I would say that Americans are able to focus on two issues at once... but then again, I know better.
So now Hitlery is saying that these victims deserve to be listened to. Does that also not include her husband's victims? Is it only selective shaming? More proof that Hollywood and Washington could be full of hardcore criminals and still be subjected to less punishment and criticism than that of the common folk.

So did Trump. No ban.
She mentioned Bezos, almost as if a question, late last night. Ban happened overnight. She's back on now and dumped on Bezos and his studio execs.

Clinton: We made a person who committed sexual assault president (https://www.msn.com/en-us/news/politics/clinton-we-made-a-person-who-committed-sexual-assault-president/ar-AAtqWYC)
I'm finding it increasingly hilarious that the left are NOW going after a man that has had a reputation as a lecherous scumbag for more than 30 years, living up to the stereotype of the "Casting Couch Producer". As soon as he was outed by the mainstream press, he gets fired from his own company, expelled from the MPA and pending expulsion from the Director's Guild, pretty much everything but actual crucifixion. Hypocrisy, thy name is Hollywood.

Makes you wonder how many... or more like, which actresses got an edge on the competition and willingly "made" their career with him and are thus, staying quiet.
Ding, ding. If you made a deal with the Devil to get your career up and successful, then stfu. That's something you chose to do, and you didn't have to.

The ones who really said “NO!” are working at Starbucks. And everyone knows that was the choice.

No, it isn't right....it's effed up. But if you were the actress wannabe that made that deal, don't come out now and bitch and cry about it.

What's interesting (and there's a lot here to be interested in) is that Libs haven't found the aforementioned baristas who said "NO!" Are they not victims? They were locked out of the industry because they had integrity and actually held to those so-called feminist principals (objectification of women).
Compare/contrast with the ones who were willing, made stars and millionaires, and now want sympathy. Yes, they knew they were a making a deal and they the knew they were getting preferred treatment because of it!
Hanoi Jane is comical too! Didn't have the courage huh? Had the courage to pose with NVA and shit on our country. Had the courage to lie about POWs, even giving up the note that was passed, and come home safe and sound (why no one eventually caught up with her is beyond me). But couldn't talk about this? Because lack of courage. HA!
I'm still enjoying in this.
One of the best parts is that the accusation from a special person is enough to convict because everyone knows these Hollyweirdo Lib creeps are in fact just like this.
Now it's racism... 10 years ago!
'I believe her': Amber Tamblyn is NOT taking husband David Cross' side in feud with Charlyne Yi who accused him of mocking her with 'racist remarks'

"You're allowed to convict my straight white male husband without a shred of proof, but not me. Nope. I only married and had a child with him. That's hardly an endorsement!"

Dem rep on Weinstein scandal: Women have ‘responsibility’ to watch their attire and behavior
http://www.foxnews.com/politics/2017/10/19/dem-rep-on-weinstein-scandal-women-have-responsibility-to-watch-their-attire-and-behavior.html
“I grew up in a time when it was as much the woman’s responsibility as it was a man’s – how you were dressed, what your behavior was,” Johnson said. “I’m from the old school that you can have behaviors that appear inviting. It can be interpreted as such. That’s the responsibility, I think, of the female.”
Inviting, maybe? Justifies rape, probably not. But suggesting women have any responsibility for transacting with Weinstein has gotten her in trouble.
