View Full Version : Someone help me out here! Concert Tickets

My wife let me know a few days ago that PINK tickets went on sale while I was at work. I'm not a huge fan but my wife let me know twice this was happening, so I took that as a hint that I should get tickets. The concert is at the Pepsi Center in May so I figured I had tons of time. But apparently people buy all the tickets in the first day or two and then sell them for a ridiculous amount on other sites? Is this correct. The Pepsi Center has no adult tickets left for sale. I rarely go to concerts. I could see if this was Garth Brooks or some other huge name, but Pink, Seriously?
Now that I am done complaining, where can I go to get said tickets?
Thanks.

Or Flashseats may have some, too.

You will find some via ticket resale, but you will pay above market value.

I'll check out stubhub. Flashseats has everything at more than double the price.

May not be a lot cheaper there. You'll definitely pay a premium for resale . . . just depends on whether you'd rather tell your wife you didn't get the tickets she wanted badly enough to remind you about. :D
Any less expensive sources may be less reputable. I suppose you could check CL or maybe some other local sources to see if you might get something cheaper.
$100+ for a ticket on Stubhub. Seems a little steep for Pink if you ask me.

Yeah, I need to get some tickets for sure. She did remind me twice that they went on sale, but it was literally four days ago.
Stubhub has them on the 3rd level of the Pepsi Center for $200 each....that's insane.

Well,
He can pay the price now, or pay the price later when his wife finds out he didn’t take the hints and get tickets.
Which is the lesser of the two evils ?

Vivid Seats looks like they may have some for less--might be worth a shot. I have never used them and can't vouch for them, but my daughter went to see Imagine Dragons over the weekend at Pepsi Center and one of the mom's had gotten the tickets form there.

I'm checking them out too, a little better for the $47 dollar tickets now priced at $180

In all fairness, I feel like four days after I was told for a May 8th Concert was plenty of time, I didn't really wait until the last minute...
Legalized ass-raping, IMHO. I remember the days when a concert was announced and you went to either the box office or ONE authorized sales outlet to get the tickets. The way it's done now by all these "resellers" buying them up and scalping the shit out of them is total horseshit. I don't even bother anymore. Used to love going to concerts, ain't worth it anymore.

Didn’t catch the Nay 8th part, but still, as the old saying goes, “ The early bird gets the bearded clam......”
Being they just went on sale prices are sky high now. But should mellow out in the coming months including private sellers on CL.

I don't do a lot of concerts so I was very surprised to see it this way

Honestly, spend the $500...get the tickets, dinner, and parking covered and all that. It'll be worth it in the long run for multiple reasons.
Further, if you're only basing your opinion about Pink from just songs on the radio, you'll be surprised. The band she tours with cover many songs and genres, and she really can sing well. If you've never watched the Palidia network, I've seen concerts on that with her and her band, and they do really well.
Might actually be a great night....so I'd say, ...go ahead and eat this one.

OP google and look around at " Pink: Funhouse Live Australia." She can sing and puts on a hell of a show.

I'm not saying she won't be good. I do like a few of her songs, I am just not a big enough fan to have actually purchased an album.
I hate when you all are right!

I was the same way when it comes to Lenny Kravitz. Not really a fan till he opened for Aerosmith in Vegas, back in 05. He really tore it up on everything, including the usual radio rotation ones. Sometimes the ones you think are eh, surprise you. Plus it makes the spouse happy. That pays dividends down the road.

Dude. Pink is a large draw. She puts on an amazing show, even if you aren't a fan, you would enjoy the show.

I'm realizing that now, I had no idea that she was as popular as she is.

CBS Sunday Morning show featured PINK and I was surprised at the performance she put on.
I never paid attention to her growth as a star other than seeing the name on the pants of the fans.

Isn't that a brand not associated with the artist?
You still have some options, although they grow leaner as the time gets closer to the date.
If you are on Nextdoor, you can always ask if anyone is looking to sell their PINK tickets. You never know until you ask.
You can also scour radio station websites to see if they will be offering PINK tickets in any upcoming contests.
Be careful of tickets purchased on CL. Many of them are fake, and you'd be out a LOT of money.

I'll give you guys an update. I finally "won" a pair of tickets through flashseats. I got good tickets because I don't want to sit in the nose bleed section with kids. I paid entirely too much for the tickets, nearly double the face value. But as pointed out in earlier posts, Happy wife = Happy life. Just get the tickets.
It's a damn shame tickets are so damned expensive...but I'm glad you were able to secure them! :)

True story - we were at a local fundraising event with friends. The event had a team trivia contest. And in one round, the question was to name, from a multiple choice list of answers, Pink's first hit single from her first album. My wife looks at me and says to the rest of the table - "He's got this".
We took first place that night.
Was it I'm Coming Out, or whatever? That's the first I remember of her.

LOL. Yeah, they put on a pretty good soft porn, ooops, I mean fashion show every year that my wife never misses (so I never miss it....just horrible, I gotta tell ya). This year was pretty lame. And the one Chinese girl fell on the catwalk - damn shame, being in her home country and all that.

I should bush up on my Pink music knowledge so I at least know what some songs when I go. I know a couple of songs but I was listening to her on youtube and clearly knew very little.
