I also posted this question in the home town forum on arfcom.

Looking for a lawyer to set up a gun trust in the south metro area. Who are people using that is good and what would be the approx. cost?

I know most are probably going DIY from Silencerco or others, but not sure about going that route.
Thanks

Give Tim a call down at Dangerlee in Elizabeth.

I've seen Dangerlee mentioned a bunch of times, but mostly for 41F packages. Does he do trusts? I'll have to email them.

He has a trust template. Shoot him an email he can explain it to you.

Got back from Dangerlee Ind. last night. Took about an hour and a half because we were talking silencers.
Trust was 150. and 40. for a set of pics and prints.
Tim is very thorough and doesn't rush things.

Silly me. I spent $90k and 3 years in law school before I started practicing law.

Doesn't your signature say you are no longer accepting Gun Trust business?

... Because I'm tired of providing free legal advice for people buying unsupported Trusts from non-lawyers. People seem to have no problem taking up my time feigning interest in my services and taking advantage of my generous nature. I spend literally *hours* answering all kinds of questions and then never see any business. Why buy the cow when you're getting the milk for free?

You're not buying paper when you pay to have a Trust created. The paper and the cost to produce the physical document is worth about $3.00. You're buying the knowledge behind the paper.

So the OP asked you for advise but never had you set up a trust. If this is the case your original post make more sense with context.

I don't know if he's called or not. I don't know his real name. I've had 3 calls in the last week.

If I flat out refuse to answer questions, then I'm an asshole lawyer. If I'm a nice guy and answer a few questions to show that I know what I'm talking about, then I'm a schmuck for letting myself be taken advantage of.

I, for one, wish you still did trusts. I would prefer to put my faith in the trust you develop over one taken from silencerco.com or some other online place.

I also wished NFATrustGuy still did trusts. I would have preferred to deal with a real lawyer. He is very well thought of here.

But, no I did not contact him in any way. I was getting ready to and saw a post by him that he stopped doing trusts. As usual, I was late to the party.

Silly me. I spent $90k and 3 years in law school before I started practicing law.
LET ME BE PERFECTLY CLEAR HERE:

I SIMPLY SELL A 25 PAGE DO IT YOURSELF TRUST TEMPLATE. I’M NOT A LAWYER NOR DO I GIVE LEGAL ADVICE AS I CLEARLY TELL EVERYONE, AS STATED ON THE TEMPLATE AND ON THE FINAL PAGE THAT IS SIGNED.

Heck Rod if you remember I approached you about teaming up together for my customers that wanted Trusts and you politely declined. That is when I reached out to another lawyer who set me up with my own template. I never advertised or pushed my template on here out of respect for you.

There is a void and I have zero issues helping folks get into NFA. Anyone can walk into my store knowing nothing about the NFA game to handle 60 plus silencers, get NFA item education, get the most up to date NFA regulations, buy a quality template, get 41F compliance done with all pics/prints, buy NFA items and walk out the door with a clear understanding of the NFA process A-Z.

If my template helps folks out with getting into the NFA game then I’m all about it. My business is selling cans not templates and I too wish you were still doing Trusts.

I won’t revisit this post since I don’t do drama so feel free to pm or call me to discuss if necessary.

Wow. Tim has never once pushed his stuff on anyone or offered and legal advice, just offered a service. No need to bite anyones head off. It amazes me how divided this community is.

I been out of the game for some time. But back cause i am Looking at helping my friend out getting her own trust. Long story but she needs her own trust. She and her brother and father are on one trust, but she wants to move her suppressors off the family NFA trust and pay another 200 bucks and be just hers. Currently have one of Rods trusts and another one before rod was around. I too wish you where still doing them Rod but i understand things change. I am not at cabelas any more as i got out of the industry and found a new job. Will have to read up and look around some more.

Since the OP has found what he was looking for, this will conclude this thread.
