Think I would like to have my SL8-6 converted to a civilian type G36. Anyone here local do this type of work that will look like a factory job? If not I'll have to ship out of state. Seems there is lots of parts on HKParts.net but I'm not really sure of all that would go into a conversion. Thoughts?

I'm sure you're already aware if you're in the G36 Market but TommyBuilt Tactical makes some of the best G36 conversions you can get your hands on. Not local but if you don't have any luck finding a local source that's a solid option.

Sure thing man. One of his G36c conversions barreled in 300blk are on my short list.

I’d like a 300 myself even in an AR. I’m sitting here trying to figure out what variant of 36 to go with. I sent Tommy a message. I’m somewhat of a collector and shoot occasionally. I know the HK’s are quality guns.

That 300blk is nice.

That's the one. If you're going to run a short barreled rifle round suppressed the 300blk is the only way to fly IMO. I've got several & they're amazing.

Tommy is the way to go, he did convert mine a couple of years ago. I kept the SL8 barrel Tom just shortened it to 14.5 and pin + weld a muzzle device

He did the whole receiver , I provided the rear g36 stub. So basically a full conversion.
