Hello everyone - My wife and I just moved to CO for a new job opportunity. We have moved a lot the past 4 years (4 different states) and are hoping to settle down here.
I'm interested getting some training so if anyone can make some recommendations I would appreciate it. I'm primarily looking for defensive pistol and a shotgun HD class.

Welcome, join the fray.
If you're unarmed you are a victim
Defensive pistol you say? Wear a MAGA hat while walking down East Colfax in Denver or in Boulder.
Welcome!

Umm yes. Do not walk down Colfax. Portland is better. Now if you tell people you're a Californian or Texan here, they might kill you.

Boulder is doing its best to be Portland of the Rockies. Someone might hiss a lisp at you, but they'd be unlikely to want to get their vegan, fair-trade, organic taco dropped on the ground.
East Colfax... well, wear body armor and update your life insurance. That area is dead set on being the Southside Chicago of the Rockies.

I'm not really from Oregon. We just lived there the past two years hoping to settle there, but the rain and the politics of the area were not to our liking. My wife and I are both from Ohio but we've been doing a lot of moving the past few years for work (NC to OH to OR to CO). We both are hoping to settle down here. I just hope the people from CA will not ruin this place as they have OR.
