Adopted her from a local rescue place. She was turned into an animal shelter in texas a few months ago, pregnant. A local rescue place transported her from texas, fostered her until she had her pups and they were weened. We saw her at an adoption event where they were adopting out the pups.
She's about 25-30lbs, yellow lab mix, approx 1-2 years old. In the first pic she still had some of her baby weight on. Now she's a lean mean killing machine.
Very smart, gets along great with our other dog. Very strong hunting instincts. She's already caught and killed a rabbit and several mice in the back yard, and had hunk of fur from a squirrel's tail. She's a silent hunter, freezes in place and lets the critters come close then pounces. On walks, I have to pay careful attention... I'll see her focus on something a block away, and I've got to turn/change course. She accepts the correction as long as we don't get too close to the prey. Doesn't really notice other dogs while out walking. The only time she really makes any noise is when she trees a squirrel or has a critter trapped somewhere.
