View Full Version : adjustable cheek riser /adjustable comb
Anyone do this or know of anyone who can do a quality job?
Looking to have stock cut and the adjustable riser hardware installed. Would like to keep it local instead of shipping it off.
Why not just do a karsten?

Or Matthews, installing cheek riser is easy, the stock? What stock and how much?

I bought some kydex and made a couple for my kids several years ago, it was really easy.
What kind of stock ? Some of the fiberglass stocks can't be converted after the fact because of the construction and fill material . On those the Karsten style is pretty much the only option . Don't know of anybody local that does the full on conversion and it is really a specialized kind of job .

You can also buy an XLR cheek rest and install yourself. There is a man name Joe Ducos that does great work on installing adjustable cheek pieces on stocks. They will look and function as if it came from the factory.
Longrifles does a top shelf job but you will pay for it...
It's a walnut stock on a hunting rifle. If it was composite I'd go with the cheekrisers mentioned above.
Longrifles?
You may call Mile High and see if they know anybody from their high end shot gun days .
If you don't want to modify the stock, get a Bradley adjustable cheek rest. They come in all different colors and camo options.

I will second the XLR if you just want a bolt on. I put one on my Manners stock and was happy how it turned out. I will also say if you are wanting a factory look, Joe Ducos does awesome work using the KMW Loggerhead.
