Which spotting scope for long range precision and wildlife viewing/hunting?

I have searched all the old threads here, I have searched snipershide, I have searched google and tons of other sites. I still dont know which spotting scope in the Around $2000 range. I am not interested in anyones used scope, so lets assume I want to buy one on sale this week at an online retailer. Im not interested in lower end scopes. I would say $1500 minimum to lower $2000 range. I can get 30-40 percent off of Vortex if I decide to go that way. . I am looking at Swarovski and others. I want a straight scope, no angled. Which brand, which model? From who? I have already looked at sportoptics, europtics, b&h, cameraland, etc, etc. I still need some direction.

Thanks

I'm very happy with my Burris, but if I wanted a truly high-end optic, it would be a Leupold.

This is an unstoppable deal on a great spotter. I don't even need one and though about getting it.

If you want smaller the new Razor is a great size. If you want really great glass for the dollar look into the Meopta (aka Nightforce/Cabelas Euro).

I'm just going to say if you have $2,000 plus to spend then go Kowa, they are popular with High Power shooters. You can buy them either angled or straight and you have a choice of which eyepiece to add along with photography adapters. I am saving my pennies for an 883 The eyepieces by themselves arr $400 or more on top of the body price.

In. My opinion there is only one option when looking for the best glass in a spotter and that Swarovski. Mine is the STS 20-60 and has been to Alaska five times between dad and I and multiple trips to the mountains of Colorado every year. I've probably had it 15 years or so and never had a single issue. If you ever need to you can send it back to Swarovski and get it cleaned and polished up for no charge. I love my leupold rifle scopes but their spotters are mediocre at best.
