View Full Version : From CO for many years; lived in TX for a time; time to move back...now with guns
I will be moving to the NW area of Denver (Superior, Loiusville, Arvada, Leyden, definitely NOT Boulder...heck no).
I will be wanting to locate national forest areas for AR-15/ .300Blk shooting. Any suggestions?
whats the current climate up in Denver for CCW; etc.?
Hello and welcome back!
Somebody from Denver way will fill you in on what's going on up there.
Enjoy!![Beer]

Welcome to the madhouse, just remember to stop at a member’s house in New Mexico and drop off all of your +15 round magazines. That way you will be legal when you cross into CO.

Welcome.
I'm on that mag list, just sayin'. :)

You need to be aware, that those areas surround the PRB. So, since the Boulderites have, by legislation, made property unaffordable in the PRB, they have, by necessity, relocated to the areas you've mentioned. Just be aware. That's all I'm sayin'.

Welcome, join the fray.
If you're unarmed, you are a victim
Howdy!
I'm not in those areas of Denver, but CCW and Denver aren't the most compatible of things, from what I can tell. Are you sure you want to move into those areas of town?
Thx for the welcome and insights.
to futher clarify...not doing the "special" county and city of Denver. great more Boulderites in the areas I mentioned. Maybe I will re-think the locations.
all of my 15+ mags are "pre-date"...whatever date they say.
I am (and family) originally from CO Spgs.

You need to have been a resident of CO. and in continuos pocession of the magazines prior to 7/01/13. Otherwise you can no longer buy, sell, trade or import them into CO....

Out of curiosity where are you seeing the last part about needing to have been a resident of CO? I'm taking a look at the bill and I'm not seeing any requirement for that (though I'm certainly not a lawyer and I may be missing it entirely).

Pretty sure it dosent matter where you lived as long as you possessed the mags before 7-1-2013. I dont see anywhere in the law saying you can't bring them in to colorado.
Late to the game, but there is nothing wrong about any of the city you listed, certainly not compared to any other city in the metro area.

This.
It's all spendy, unless you get way off the front range.
Lousiville and Superior are nice area's. Arvada isn't bad, but my personal preferences preclude being interested in that area.
Welcome back to CO!

You've been away a while. Have to agree with others. If you're in Boulder County you might as well be in Boulder.
But welcome. This state needs more conservative votes!
