**Well I decided on a heavy duty Leatherman SuperTool-he had a Gerber but it got left somewhere in A'stan LOL and a Streamlight helmet mounted flashlight. Found a cool site-The Fire Store. Thanks to you all**

My older son will soon be graduating an academy. He’s been a paramedic/flight Medic for over 14 years in both the military and civilian communities, E6 rank currently . Need a nice and preferably practical graduation gift. He’s very well covered on medical stuff/gear but thinking of a nice fire service oriented present.

Any suggestions appreciated, thanks.

Get him a nice watch. Something he wouldn't buy for himself. Seikos are almost indestructible.

Luminox watch with tritium markers that allow you to see in total darkness.

Thanks guys. The funny thing is I got him a watch upon completing basic and a laser engraved knife when he finished AIT-it has his name, rank (private 1st class at the time) and his MOS (at the time 91W, since changed to 68W, then added the F). I'm thinking of something that will augment his load out so we may wait to see what he wants that isn't issued.

Sounds like you got him some great gifts. How about a gift certificate to a damn fine steakhouse?

I have one of these. Impact driver I use for changing wheels on my truck. Beats the hell out of lug wrenches. If you are in a hurry and have a flat tire, this tool is unbeatable.

I would reccomend on of these, guy I use to work with is a firefighter. He said it was the tool he used more than any other.

Thanks! Might just be the ticket.

EDIT- ***aarrgghh, he’s already got one!***. I’m just gonna wing it, I’ll come up with something-I always do, upon completion of his first combat deployment I got him a Les Baer 1911-mostly so he’d stop using mine![ROFL2]
