The new Hudson H9 has people asking "why aren't there more striker fired, but metal framed guns out there?"

I've asked this and after a bit of googling have come up with a list of such guns, but wonder if I'm missing some.

Hudson H9
Kahr pistols
Sig/Mauser M2
HK P7
Colt 2000
Luger (which is sort of striker fired)

So other than a bunch of turn of the last century, crappy little pocket pistols, anyone know of any others? I find references to a pistol that some company calling itself Detonics Defense (which I assume is somehow connected to the old Detonics that made those sweet tiny 1911s back in the 70s and 80s) was planning on producing, but they don't seem to have made any.

I like the idea of the consistent trigger pull of a striker gun vs a DA/SA and the lack of need for a manual safety like on an SAO gun, but I also like metal frames and wood grips and I can't imagine I'm alone in this.

Had to call out to the Google on the H9...never even heard of it. Looks like a decent gun, but...$1100+ list price? Wow.

Only other one I can think of was the Kimber Solo.

I was thinking Taurus did one but can't recall what it was. So probably not.

I'm not sure if you are looking for just full size pistols. If not here are a a few smaller examples-

North American Arms Guardian series. Small pocket pistol. Stainless Steel frame
Seecamp, small pocket pistol. The NAA Guardian is a later improved version of this.
Remington R51 and RM380 have aluminum frames.

The Bond Arms BullPup9 is double action only but it has a flapper/hammer and regular firing pin. The flapper only comes out when shooting it.

Good call on the Kimber Solo, that's one I missed.

I guess also there's also the CCF Race Frames that used to exist (basically a metal Glock replacement frame).

As for pocket guns like the Guardian, I would put it in the same category as the crappy little turn of the last century pocket guns (even though it is a well made little gun). I'm thinking something more in the Glock 26-19 size (if not larger).

The Remington R51 is still hammer fired (even though the hammer is internal) as is the RM380/Rohrbaugh.

Ideally what I'd like to see is something like a striker fired SIG P229 or Beretta 92 or BHP or CZ75.

I almost forgot about the H9. I thought it was semi unwanted at the time they announced it and now that i know the price....wow. I bought an early NAA .32 , I remember it as a DAO, with a flush hammer. Great gun.

I guess what I ultimately want is a double stack Kahr K40 with a Walther PPQ trigger :p
