Does anyone know if the Geissele Reaction Rod is compatible with the Sig MPX barrel extension?

Haven't been able to find much online and no time to try it yet, but at first glance it doesn't look to be (need to remove FH without dinging up bbl or extension, and don't want to buy new bbl vise if not needed...)

Any thoughts/experience would be much appreciated...

Thanks!

Which do you not have yet, and need? I have a Geissele reaction rod for an AR-15 / M4 you can borrow indoor swing by and use to check fit. If that's not the issue then good luck.

Thanks for the offer! I actually have Reaction Rods in both sizes, but no barrel vise.

I haven't had any time to actually test fitting, but the extention lugs look to be a different geometry than an AR bbl extention. Figured it was worth throwing out the question before trying it and risking a self-inflicted "idiot mark" (wouldn't be the first time ;) )

Most likely. Unless somebody chimes in that they've successfully used a RR for this, I figure that's the best/safest way to go...

I have the bbl vise and other tools, as needed.

Just to follow-up on this - turns out I was over-thinking things and the factory muzzle device wasn't on nearly as tight as expected...

Was able to get the FH off by just holding the receiver in one hand/arm and wrench in the other.

Thanks for the offers to help!

I have a Reaction Rod and I never felt comfortable using it for muzzle work. I’d rather clamp the barrel in my vise with custom v-notched soft jaws.
