The Delaware State Supreme Court just rescinded a ban on carrying weapons into state forests. Great quote regarding a lower court:
"But that conclusion is based on the questionable notion - unsupported by reference to any evidence - that outlawing possession of firearms in an area makes law-abiding citizens safer because criminals will, for some reason, obey the regulations."

Boom! Let's hope more courts learn sense (even if, like in this case, it's only a small majority, 3-2 ruling here).

Well, I'll be. Someone in the court system that understands that criminals don't obey the law. Who'd a thunk it?

That is a hopeful outcome, glad to hear it.

But, but....
How do you get to the State Park?
Doesn't Delaware take your firearm at the border?

Delaware is one of the better states out in that area. They recognize CO permits. But once you hit MD or NJ, you're boned. PA ain't so bad either.

Hmmm, I don't recognize NJ as a state. So there's that.

David Kopel was on Devil's Advocate last night. He was just back from Washington, DC, after testifying about the Concealed Carry Legislation and 2nd Amendment rights concerning the bump stock investigations.
He pointed out that New Jersey has a 3 1/2 Year Mandatory Prison Sentence for carrying concealed without a New Jersey Permit.
So, if you have a Colorado Permit and are stopped by Highway Patrol, off to the pokey you go for 3 1/2 years.
What????

And there's effectively no such thing as a New Jersey permit. So yeah, won't set foot in NJ again.
