[Dinner] [Dinner] [Dinner] [Dinner]
Miraculously, my wife and I both have off Christmas Eve, so today I'm doing my famous honey smoked turkey, grilled asparagus, grilled corn, homemade sweet rolls (maybe cornbread) and baked potatoes.
To top it off I'm making some creme brulee for dessert with homemade whipped cream. Kind of a hodgepodge of stuff, but that's what everyone wanted.
What are you cookin up?

4 lbs of wings! Looks like you're having some company.
I think I might be getting a sous vide set up for Christmas from my dad who recently got into it bigtime. There are plenty of steaks in the freezer to cook to try it out on Christmas Day. We'll see.

Not sure. As long as I don't have to cook whatever it is, I'm good.
My mom is making a prime rib, she turned 90 a week ago and still cooks a delicious meal.

Christmas dinner will be: Salad, lasagna, cheesy garlic bread and then cheesecake for dessert.
Christmas eve dinner was thanks to a quick run to Bird Dog BBQ.
For Christmas Eve dinner it's garlic clam pasta with our 2015 Gewurztraminer, and on Christmas Day we will have Elk Wellington. The Elk Wellington uses a ~3 lb. piece of loin browned, then wrapped in a puff pastry with mushroom, green onion and garlic, then roasted til crisp on the outside, rare inside. An old favorite!

Marinated stir fry steak strips, will end up in a crock pot of stuff to make chili. Light meal for today. Might take some to the neighbors too who are down with a cold or flu.
Tomorrow is a family brunch. Wife has a plan, usually some mini omelettes (made in cupcake tins) and fancy bacon and sausage and .... waffles I think.
Ham for Christmas dinner and other fixing of some sorts. I just stay out of the way. :)

Turkey, since we travelled this year for Thanksgiving we didn't have any leftovers and we really like turkey.

I had to look all those up, and they seem wonderful. Thanks for the insight into your ethnic family customs. It's a great tradition worth holding onto and sharing with others\
.
Ham, bacon, pork belly and lefse to wrap. :) Possibly brussel sprouts roasted with onions in bacon fat, applesauce for dessert.

Damn. I never thought of that. As is typical, I'll have nothing to open either. But, I hope to get the joy of watching my kids and grandson open presents they'll enjoy.

Doing two 8-lb ribeye roasts, steamed asparagus and whatever the others bring. I'm home in Hawaii with the family or I'd be smoking one of the roasts. I'm doing one in the oven with low-and-slow while my brother will be doing one on the grill. Accompanying with fresh grated horseradish.
Christmas Eve is also my Dad's birthday...Meatloaf, mashed potatoes, fruit salad and apple pie for dessert. Been that way as long as I can recall.
We do Christmas at our house. My folks give us a Prime Rib on Christmas Eve, which I cook. Youngest son makes Yorkshire Pudding, wife makes a Jello Salad and Pecan Pie, oldest son make Green Beans with onion and bacon.
Standard Christmas Eve for us is soup and rolls. Veggie beef, cheesy potato, and chicken noodle.
Tomorrow is prime rib and a pumpkin pie. I'm sure there's more but does it matter?

Wife knocked it out of the park on the steak (in the new cast iron pan I got her for Christmas), and the potatoes came out great as well. https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20171226/e93938fd520753623e529553e84408af.jpg

I was off most of the week and cooked everyday. Just leftovers today.

Once I realized they needed to stay in the oven for about 10 minutes longer than usual, they turned out great. I hand cut them way too thick for the time we normally use.

We had hurricane wind up here yesterday, so we did the turkey, etc. today. Had frozen pizza last night.
I brought a ton of turkey and stuff to my wife and her coworkers. They loved it.
Did a peppered pork loin wrapped in applewood smoked bacon, augruatin potatos, broccoli rice casserole, and salad.
