My brother just told me about this, as it's not far from his house and my mom's house. At around 1AM there was a report of a person who attacked 3 people at a party at the 29000 block of Pine Rd (a road across the street from Evergreen High School) with what is reported as either a sword or a fireplace poker (Vague). The suspect has barricaded himself inside the home and JCSO SWAT has been called to the scene. Buffalo Park Road is currently closed in vicinity to the location.

My mom just texted me. Phew! Glad it was resolved without incident. I told my brother- I wish I worked for JeffCo, I probably would have been on shift when this started, would have been the most excitement Evergreen has seen in a while.

While I'm glad it wasn't a firearm, what is it with all of these news reports of people using swords to commit crimes these days?

While I'm glad it wasn't a firearm, what is it with all of these news reports of people using swords to commit crimes these days?My cousin did time some years back for attacking some guy with an ornamental battle axe. Almost completely severed some digits from his hand.

...and is punching a deputy in the nose while fleeing still frowned upon?

Thank God I'm adopted. Sure don't need any of that DNA.
