If I make a purchase on Monday, then find another item at a different dealer the next day and buy it does that flag me?

No.
If you're asking if you buy a gun on Monday, and then go to another dealer and buy another gun on Tuesday, I wouldn't worry.

But if you buy 2 handguns on Monday, and then 3 handguns at another dealer on Tuesday, and then another 2 handguns at another dealer on Wednesday, it might raise some red flags. But even then, there's really nothing CBI can do if your NICS comes back clean. Buying a lot of guns sporadically doesn't put you on a "list". What puts you on a "list" is if the guns you purchase start ending up at crime scenes...

Thanks, picking up a transfer on Friday at one shop, another called about one of my grail guns they just got I want to grab on Saturday. Sure wish ccw permits allowed us to bypass the whole thing like some other states do.

Wish the whole unconstitutional background check system would be done away with completely. Hasn't stopped a single criminal yet.

Not really . You don't get "flagged" you do however have a form sent to the feds for multiple hand gun purchases.

I purchased a hand gun at 1 shop beginning of week, which was an OOS transfer. Noticed a nice 357 on consignment while there. The ffl said IF you buy these today i have to fill this form out. . Left a deposit on the 357 , waited for approval then left.

If you buy two or more pistols or revolvers (does not apply to Long guns) in a five day period the FFL is required to submit this form (ATF F 3310.4) to the ATF, along with the CLEO . The copy to the CLEO is destroyed by them as required by law if you are not prohibited. However the copy sent to the ATF is entered into the FTS (Firearms Tracking System). The data includes manufacturer, caliber, serial number, your name and address, etc. (All the good stuff they want)

They (for a short time) use to bypass the BGC.

Thanks again. If I decide to get the second item I'll have to wait about two weeks anyway so I can pay cash rather than use a credit card. Once again the brain trust here comes through, greatly appreciated.

GK, if I'm reading your post properly it would be an issue if from the same dealer? Or does CBI make any notification if purchases are from two different shops?
