Nice ride(s) BTW Sixgun! Looks like your're a fan of spokes too! We should all go riding sometime. I have also found many cool people to go riding with herehttp://www.bikerornot.com/ plus it keeps me up with all the rides, events, meets and greets not to mention all the biker women! [Muaha]

Kirk, you're gonna spend all winter keeping the shine on all that chrome! I'm going out Monday, too, weather permitting.

I had it out on the highway between Bailey and Conifer today. Very smooth and stable and you can really tell a difference in the way it rides over the pre-09 models...I think the new frame mods make a huge diff.

That's a great idea and a nice ride! I've got an 08 Ultra, too. Did 1K miles in 16.5 hours on it...one day. OK...it was really only 980.8 but I thought I'd round up!

Your lab reminds of one I had for 14.5 years. Great dog. I miss her even though she's been gone for 7 years now.

So...note to self. Arrange a CO-AR15 ride for the spring/summer.

The only thing I don't like on the Police bikes are those damn "Hockey pucks" on top of the bags. You know you can change those out with a push button device that sits flush with the lids. I hear the best one to buy are these if you interested Carl.http://www.squadfitters.com/catalog/motorcycle-accessories/saddle-bag-accessories/die-cast-zinc-metal-chrome-push-button-latch-k

Actually, I like the police bags with the pucks. I guess it's not so much that I like them...but they don't bother me.

Nice bike car-15!

It's a personal thing I guess. I don't like them because I have short legs and for some reason I always kick them getting on the bike. I broke more than one when I worked at RMHD and worked on the Littleton PD bikes!

[BooHoo] "Never feel sorry for a guy who has 3 Harley's"

Yeah I kind of figured that much. Guess we are both in the same boat now! How about I'll trade ya all my guns and ammo for one of your old bikes.[Muaha]

Y'all suck. Mine's REALLY an old beater. Loyal as hell though. '82 FLT, had it since '84.

But I've never had to make payments on it! [Neene1]

She is beautiful rondog! NOT a "beater" at all! Harley's to me are like wine or scotch, they just get better and more valuable with age. feel for the guy I bought mine from bought the bike new, put 9400 miles on it and then sold it for $5k less than he paid for it. OUCH! Sign of the times I guess.

Personally, I'd rather buy a lightly used late-model HD from some poor schlub that can't afford it anymore, than give my money to an HD dealership. But I have this love/hate relationship with HD....I love the machines but hate the company that makes them. They've ran too many little guys out of business through chickenshit lawsuits over bullshit "copyright infringements". [Rant1] Willie G. and Co. can kiss my ass.

"Beater" my ass! Rondog...if she still runs and gets you where you wanna go without any trouble that's all you can ask for.

The MoCo is kind of a PITA. I bought this new one from Maverick up in Cheyenne. Nice guys there and really laid back...not afraid to have a little fun. We did the deal in May. HD wouldn't release the Mfgr's Certificate of Origin until Maverick had the bike for 6 months because it was supposed to be some LE Demo bike.

But, Maverick made me a helluva deal. Took my trade even across for an 07 RK Police with 4k on the odo. Then said, "Ride the 07 til we can release the 09 in Oct and we'll give you what you paid for the 07 -$500." Then the owner said, "Screw HD. Put that 09 in the back and cover it til he picks it up." And they did. Had 41 miles on the odo when I did the deal, 42 when I picked it up after a short test ride. So basically I had a loaner bike for 5 mos that cost me $100 per month to ride...no maint costs, unlimited mileage, etc... When I picked up the new one they threw in a $1k gift card to boot.

And I don't do payments, either. That's why I've sold so many guns here and elsewhere over the last 5 months! [Coffee]

Just FYI for anyone interested...Maverick has a BRAND NEW 08 Road Glide...loaded. ABS, stereo, security sys, etc... Marked down to $16,900!

I was really tempted to redo our deal and take that one! They're kinda hurtin' for business...and with winter coming on, it's just gonna get worse. Man, they had some good deals up there. They had a Screamin' Eagle Softtail for under $20k, too. When has anyone ever seen an SE bike under $20k...even a Sportster?

FYI: I only have 2, Kirk. So you CAN feel sorry for me! [Tooth] I've been after Mike to retread his ride, too. He's gonna let it sit for the winter I guess until he gets a few extra bux in the bank.
