a 55 degree angle on one end. Best way to do it?

What means do you have available and what degree of angular accuracy is required?

Accuracy not super important as long as all are the same or close to it. Only thing I have is a miter saw. But how do you cut an angle greater then 45?

if your fence is 2 pieces you can remove 1 side and make a wedge for the other side if not you can remove the fence and clamp a piece to the deck at an glue to accomplish the same thing, though a miter saw is not the best tool for this and you may eat the tool in the process depending on how many cuts you are going to make. A lot of the rental places will rent a chop saw, I believe home depot does as well.

I'd probably make the angle I need to cut on the piece with soapstone. Then I'd lay a 2'x4' across the saw, set the tube on top at the angle it's supposed to be, and draw a line on the 2'x4'. Then I'd cut the 2'x4' along the line you just drew in order to make the appropriately angled wedge. Finally, I'd clamp down the 2'x4', insert the piece to cut (and clamp if possible), then cut away.

That's just what sounds like would work in my head without having a piece right in front of me.

Pipe vise and sawzall (or other similar style) with metal blade. Or a hacksaw with correct blade. You have a hacksaw and protractor in your toolbox?

I would think a wet metal cutting band saw would produce the best accuracy. A chop saw with a metal blade and a belt sander to finish might be more realistic.

Cut it at 35 upside down.

How many pcs/cuts? Call up local metal fab shop. They will have cut off saw with 20" metal blade. Either saw or table/rack will rotate for miter/angle cuts.

Horizontal Bandsaws will do it, accurately and with a nice cut surface.

I have one at the shop outside of Boulder, but any metal shop will have one and do it.

Sawzall and a grinder will work just fine!

Cut as sharp an angle as possible and finish it up on a decent disc sander.

I just had to something similar with 1" tubing. My cold saw could get me to 37 degrees. After the cut i sanded it down to 35.
