Who all is going? Shoot me a PM if you want to meet up for a beer or gambling one day. Maybe we can get a mini Meetup going.

Try to keep yourselves healthy out there with this round of flu!

Big masses of people tend to pass bugs around!

Otherwise, Enjoy!

For those that still get the print version of the Denver Post, check out the photograph with the article about the SHOT Show submitted by the Associated Press
The headline is:
"Gun industry holding biggest annual trade show near Las Vegas mass shooting site"
The photo looks like an actor holding a Barrett 50 caliber that is identified as a Browning Machine Gun.
My best guess is someone informed the photographer and reporter that it shot a 50 BMG cartridge and the reporter stopped listening at that point?
Some how the most important point the reporter could find at a show with 65,000 expected to attend, is that the "Bump Stock" folks were still in business.

The nerve of an industry to have a convention in the nexus of conventions.

Just returned from the Antique Arms Show at the Westgate Casino in Las Vegas.
That is the casino that, according to the news, installed the microwave radar system that notifies police immediately if someone is carrying or has a firearm in their luggage.
I asked security if I could take firearms to the room. Their response: "Sure, as long as they are secured"
The only additional hoop to jump through was the public had to check their firearm at the door and security made sure it was unloaded and tied with a zip tie (which was provided)
That seems to be standard practice for firearm shows now.

The comments on that article are priceless.

The comments on that article are priceless.

I just lost some IQ reading them, eg: "No one ever accused gunners of being appropriate. Or thoughtful.", "Criminals always return to the scene of their crimes."

Reading comments from any Denver Post firearms related article permanently lowers your IQ ...everyone knows that.

I admit it though I often spend more time reading the comments to an article that it took me to read the article in the first place. So much entertainment to be had. Also I never ever comment my self.

Didn't see one protester. Fake news.

Justin
01-27-2018, 11:20
If it was anything like the "protests" at previous SHOT/NRA shows, the protesters gathered together at some location between 1 and 5 miles away, numbered in the dozens, and disbanded after about half an hour.

The Denver Post needs to start slipping one of those small Kleenex travel packs in their daily wipe.

Brownells Retro ARs have me counting spare change. The 601 and early AR10 are now on the priority list.
