Shot a friends 2022 9mm and it shot way low. Thought that was an anomaly. Then I shot a 229 and it did the same.
Then I learned that SIG sets their sight picture so you have to blot out the spot you wish to hit. To hit the center of the bullseye, you have to hold above it.
Almost all other manufacturers have a pumpkin on a post/ lollipop sight picture.
I hated blotting out the target point. I like to hold at the bottom of the bullseye to hit center bull. That is about 6" difference from the current setup.
Now I find higher rear and front sights are very hard to find and expensive. Time to file the front sight to see if I can get at least 4" from that. (Difference between a SIG #6 currently and a SIG #10 unlocatable at a reasonable price). The current sights are dead anyway, so, I am not worried about the white dot. I will just use bright paint or my wife's nail polish on the front sight.
Anyone else have a similar experience with SIG sights?
