What do you think, so far?
Where can it be viewed? I heard Spike, but I'm not sure if that is true.
Yeah, Spike-now the Paramount channel. No idea what the source material is for this but it's no documentary that's for sure. Started to watch when I heard about the tragedy in Adams County, don't think I'll continue with it.

Watched it live in 93. Be interesting to see how Taylor plays him.

Watched, will continue. Curious to see where it goes.
If you're unarmed, you are a victim
Heard the NPR interview with the lead Negotiator and one of the surviving members. Would be interested in seeing it, but alas we don't have TV.
The Negotiator agreed with the survivor that the tactical elements pooched everything. They insisted on things the negotiation team told them not to do, such as loud music on perimeter aimed at compound. Negotiators told them 1) it doesn't work 2) it's against FBI policy 3)it doesn't help the negotiation process etc. Tactical team kept overriding agreed upon terms between negotiation team and members inside. Essentially, the negotiators and members would take 2 steps forward and the tactical teams would push it all 3 steps back. Eventually, it resulted in the conflagration of the compound.
Apparently the FBI tactical team wanted to be Delta Force in Panama and the Negotiators wanted to do their actual job.
I wonder if they will cut it off after the shooting starts like the other "made for tv" movies were about it. Never showing that they weren't letting anyone out alive. Janet Reno and the Clintons for you.
Watched it live in 93.

I forgot about this, thanks for the reminder. I'm definitely going to watch once it hits netflix or sling. Like CavSct1983 we also have no "tv", only stream stuff.
Spoilers ahead....
They all die in the end.

I bet you ruined the movie Titanic for a lot of people as well. [Coffee]
Watched it live...
I lived in Killeen, TX at the time... I saw it live as well. No interest in watching a dramatization of it. Total f'up on governments part as was previously stated. I believe it could've been resolved peacefully...

Hollywood has had no new ideas in years. Heard the other day they are trying to come up with a sequel to Titanic. :D

I always felt Janet Reno should have been fired and charged with negligent homicide over the way they screwed that up. Probably others in the on-site team and DOJ leadership as well but at least Reno for approving the whole affair.

I'm so tired of Hollywood remakes ... so how faithful is it to the source material?

Yes, the Coast Guard came with hot chocolate and teddy bears, and everyone lived happily ever after.

...and no I'm not editing it to remove it because this mistake is just too epic to not share with everyone.
Total f'up on governments part as was previously stated.
Isn't this the correct response for pretty much all govt. involved standoffs?
No interest in a Waco documentary or docudrama.

There is a podcast called “Cults”. They just did a 2 part series on Waco. It was interesting.

I watched a show about Waco several weeks back, probably the same one I'm guessing.
I was interested in it and I learned some things about the whole ordeal that I didn't know previously. There is something very intriguing to me about a "leader" with enough personality and charisma to convince a large group of people to follow his interpretation of beliefs and be convincing enough, and trusted enough to maintain his Flock for an extended period of time.
Manson, Jones, Koresh and Applewhite....etc...had the magic gift of getting people to follow without question. Fascinating.

You forgot obama.

Good point, but there weren't elections getting the aforementioned "masterminds" into their position of power or influence so to speak, and he had no power of persuasion over anyone that didn't already believe in his horse shit vision of the liberal ideals in general.
Which brings up another topic altogether.... obama is a dork, right place and apparent right time. People may be bitching about Trump running the helm, but I can say that I would have written this country off had Hillary had been elected, and ceremoniously bury my flag in the back yard never to be flown by me again.
IF ophra winfrey ever holds the office, ........I'm completely checking out of society altogether.
