Won't let me read unless I turn off my AdBlock. That's not going to happen.

Fox News: George Soros slams Google, Facebook, says they're a 'menace' to society (http://www.foxnews.com/tech/2018/01/26/george-soros-slams-google-facebook-says-theyre-menace-to-society.html)

Further adding fuel to the fire that is currently engulfing social media and the tech sector, billionaire investor George Soros has slammed Facebook and Google, calling them a "menace" and "obstacles to innovation."

Soros, often a target of conservatives for many of his views, including those on immigration, attacked the two companies in a speech at the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland.

"But as Facebook and Google have grown into ever more powerful monopolies, they have become obstacles to innovation, and they have caused a variety of problems of which we are only now beginning to become aware," Soros said in a speech.

He's just mad that they took his tactics and beat him at his own game.

I hit a wrong key and put this up before adding personal thoughts....

If the mods could please combine the two I'd sure appreciate it.

It appears The Philanthropist George Soros harbors some of the same suspicions at least a few of us here do. The algorithm that chooses what I may be interested in put this up for my judgement by clicking. I took the algorithm up on the offer....

What intrigued me about the article was that I figured "they" were on the same side. Or at least in different enough lines of business that there shouldn't be competition between them. Turns out that
The Philanthropist George Soros is not only concerned about an "obstacle to innovation" (very philanthropic of him, but I doubt he has mankind's best interests at heart), but he is also concerned about the power these technological giants have to shape the way people think (this last bit was not mentioned in news article run by Cnet and cnbc).

As there have been other discussions here regarding how entities such as Google and Facebook can mold the way people think I thought I'd share. Some of you forum members better dialed into the tech scene may have more insight. Is the possibility of a showdown between them on the horizon? Is one already under way? As Facebook, Amazon, and The Philanthropist George Soros all seem firmly in the anti RKBA camp, what could this mean for us?

Yep. He loves to de-value their currencies.
