View Full Version : Colorado Hunting and camping integration.
Just a heads up on my camp site registration. I was booking a campsite as I have done multiple times in the past and hit a snag. You need a CID number now. It walked me through a setup, easy enough. It would not let me finish the process because of identifier info. Turns out I should have logged in using my hunting info. Now neither one is usable until I call the Parks and wildlife people. If you go to the hunting site it warns you to look up your number first. Looks like they aren't merging the two accounts seamlessly. And they want descriptions of campers hunting and fishing. Spot to enter descriptions, height, weight, hair, eyes. Make sure you know your CID (on license) before you try booking something.
I'm confused. Are you trying to book a camp in a hunting area, just to camp? Or are you trying to book a camp to hunt out of?

Customer Identification Number. I am guessing if you don't have a hunting license, one will be assigned to you.

To clear up. I was booking a camp spot. They combined the ordering systems sorta. I talked to my friend and they had trouble too. This is the first year that the online part has fully merged. Just letting folks know not to wait to the last minute. Or it may work itself out on its own. Or maybe this is a window into the way .gov handles out information and accounts.

Colorado is so fucking doomed
I've been using Reserve America for years, since NM went to it, then CO followed.
"Existing Reserve America Customers
Sign in using your Reserve America email and password"
When I do that, it shows my name and address info and tries to combine account info. However, when I try to put in my DL# as ID, it pukes and reports it's already in use by another account.
If I try to create a new account, it says the e-mail is already in use.
I did see something about having to call regarding DL number. Isn't automation great?
Thanks for the PSA, now I know I have to call and speak to a one or more semiconscious human meatbags before I try to buy game licenses
Lord.
I tried to buy a Colorado State Park Pass through this system, and they say that I can't, because they can't verify that I am a qualifying resident since my driver's license was renewed less than six months ago. Never mind that I have lived here and had a license since 1981. This is AFTER I had gone ahead and given them my Social Security Number, (along with my Driver's License number,) as they were requiring it if I wanted to perhaps get a hunting/fishing license through the system. I called the help desk, and after being on hold for 10+ minutes, they told me I could "conveniently" stop by and show them copies of my electric bill, etc., or email them six months worth of consecutive electric bills/mortgage statements, etc. I told them to shove it where the sun don't shine and delete my (newly created) account. I haven't checked, but I have no doubt my account is still live in their system, with a CID number, etc. I did go in and change all the data to garbage, but still...
I am not impressed.

Several changes this year, and it will be with draw hunting apps, so do not wait.
In all honesty, as I have been tracking this specific change, as a hunter I am for it.

I think the purpose of this number is a tracking system to budget where & what to spend on camp sites. The camp sites funding is dependent on use by customers. I'm trying to keep a positive attitude. CP&W budget is not unlimited.

Curious, are you referring to the part about no longer having to submit license cost w/application?
