View Full Version : Burris Fast Fire III red dot optic questions
Considering a Burris Fast Fire III red dot optic for my Winchester 94 AE .44 Trapper. I have a scope mount that would put one at the rear of the receiver. Looked at one at Cabela's, TINY little thing! Would fit perfectly it appears.
Question is - anybody have any experience with these lil' puppies? I know they were made for handgun use, and mounting on slides, so they SHOULD be able to handle recoil just fine. Just looking for real-world experience and opinions.

I use one of these as a backup (offset) sight on a .308, has held up just fine so far...

Ask Kazoo
Following.
I’ve been thinking of one for a new project.
I've got some Fastfire II's that I like, but don't shoot them enough to give you a solid review. Have mine on a .300blk pistol.

I have them on a few rifles from 22lr -357 lever actions. I can send you one of mine if you'd like to road test them. Oddly enough been thinking about selling 1 or 2 (used) as part of my down sizing plan. Might as well get that out there now.
AS always, Honest Hamid is happy to assist. Ask about our Pre Ramadan Mecca sale. From red dots to reloading the one tent sale is happening Now... Now...now...now

Well Hamid, I'd be interested in a used one, keep me in mind! Is Omar the tentmaker still selling fat boy shirts?

Sadly, no. He thought the vest he purchased from a new vendor at the market was returnable, if he saved the receipt.

Apropos of not anything related to Hamid's market, Burris/Steiner's manufacturing operation is located in Greeley. When I shattered the glass on my Fast Fire III because I threw it unprotected in a rifle case with a bunch of loose stuff and then tossed it in the back of my truck with some luggage on it, I brought it over there. I totally broke this thing due to my own carelessness, it was readily apparent, and I acknowledged that I did it. Nor did I have my receipt or box. They took it in the back for about a minute, realized it couldn't be repaired, and handed me a brand new one in retail packaging, no questions asked. So for what it is worth, they truly stand behind the Fast Fire line. I run two of them on .22lr rifles, and one on a 10mm Glock. They do not seem to have any issues with recoil.

I run one on my XDM 5.25 because every now and then they throw a pistol stage in a rifle match, and well, I suck with a pistol. Been very happy with it, used in all sorts of crappy conditions and generally have abused it quite a bit and it's held up well and hasn't needed adjustment since day 1. Solid product by a solid company.

Exactly.
Good stuff.
Good news, what I was hoping to hear.
