Talk me into it or talk me out of it. What do you think about them.
I don't think FS2000 means For Sale $2000. But that seems to be what they are going for. But if you know of one for less let me know too.

Had one:

Pros: good accuracy, very reliable, reasonable comfort
Good ejection system
in some ways mechanically a scar 16

Cons: FNs spare parts policy starts with “fuck”, ends with “you” and has nothing in the middle
Only takes certain mags. Mostly, the criteria for the mags it takes is checking the box “does this mag suck?”
Bizarre manual of arms
Few accessories
The factory optic sucks a donkey nut sack
holy shit ass trigger
charging handle can be broken off...
looks like you are pointing a fish Downrange.

These days I would get an RDB or an x95

What about the "Plastic Fantastic" the Styre AUG? If I was looking at other bullpups what about that one?

If you want a bullpup get the tavor. I had both a fs2000 and a steyr and they were fun but not much so on the long term. The fs was a better rifle than the steyr, but there is a reason why they are both in the process of being replacced as duty gun in the countries that fielded them.

What vectorSC said PLUS....

Good: Light and good center of mass.
Bad: mag don drop free. Burn my left thumb on the gas port.

I had tac and standard. Sold it on panic for way more than I paid for.
I will buy one for potential collectors value if they have one at huge discount.

looks like you are pointing a fish Downrange.Well played!

I have shot one, it was ok, felt large. I kept trying to empty my brass out the front even though I didn't need to.

You guys meant tactical tuna.

Now I feel like going to sushi joint for some tuna. [Coffee]

I have never owned any of them but, I stayed in a Holiday Inn Express a few years ago...

Sorry.

I have fired the items that you mention, four to five mags through each at different times and I liked the Tavor the best. I am not the authority that others are, just what I liked.

Good luck.

The FS2000 seems to be fairly well liked by those who own it. I didn't care for if for a lot of the reasons posted above. Large and wide was my major complaint. As said above...like shooting a tuna. I still have several AUGs and love them. Own several Tavors and it is definitely an improvement on the AUG as far as mag release and bolt hold open. The AUG has better ergonomics.

If you were spending my money I'd go with the X95.

While I haven't owned any of the bullpups yet, I have had the opportunity to shoot most of them at one time or another including the FS2000, the AUG, and the original (pre X95) version of the Tavor. Honestly, I didn't care for the ergos of the FS200 (or the looks for that matter). The AUG was pretty sweet but the one I fired was many years ago and had the built in optic which I didn't really care for. The couple of Tavors I shot just felt awkward all around to me. The grip angle was all wrong, I didn't like the weight of it or the balance all that much. Haven't actually fired an X95 yet but have handled a couple and they feel night and day different from the original Tavor.

Interesting...I haven't gotten a chance to check out the X95 yet and I didn't think I would like the grip angle. Guess I will have to seek one out to inspect closer.

Another that hasn't been mentioned is the FS2000s little brother the P90. It isn't bad. Nice little shooter and very controllable even in full auto.

I have shot every US available bullpup.

RDB has the best trigger and is mechanically effective. Well designed. Since I have “fuck keltec” tattood on my eyeballs that means something for me to geek to that. Nice bottom eject for car work. Cheap.

Aug is best manufacture work. Nice machining. MsAR to avoid - some made great and some total shit.

I don’t consider a working DTA MDR “available” yet.

Tavor has most combat time. Very reliable. X95 sorta inaccurate.

I have an RDB and love it. Haven't put a lot of rounds thru it but enough to know it works well. It has a very good trigger and it's easier to manipulate than some other bullpup rifles. I had one of the early Tavor rifles and sold it after I shot it the first time. Just didn't feel good or handle well enough to like it.

I do like like the RDB...and the RFB, though the front ejection still seems weird to me.

I really liked my PS90 but not enough that I didn't sell it during the panic at like 3x the price I paid for it. I actually got more for all the ammo I had than for the rifle and the FiveSeven that I sold. Not sure if it was just the ones I had but I really didn't feel like the PS90 or the FiveSeven were built to last very long.

The PS90 already has a place in my heart and safe. I have had one for about 6 months now and love it. And because of that gun I thought I would take a look at its sloth like brother the 2k since my only gripe with the PS90 is ammo availbility I bought a bunch of ammo but I don't want to shoot it.
PSA had some ammo for $15 to $17 dollars when I bought it only to see the prices shoot way up afterwards. If I was a paranoid person I would say that the gun show guy and PSA were in cuhoots just to sell me that gun. I kid. However, I like it very much and rarely share it with other people and if I do I don't let them do a full mag dump. I cut them off. The FS2000 does have some upsides like it uses .223 and some~ AR mags that I have. So I was just throwing it out there. But like I told another member here I just didn't get that tingle up my leg for it like I do with other guns I've wanted.
I was following my gut here and I had to find out why. I think I will have to do a pass on this gun for now. Unless I find one sub 1k with a bigger gun safe thrown in it doesn't seem like its anything more than a collectors item now. And my guns work or they got to go. I don't look at any of them except my Great Uncles WWII Mauser that he brought back from the sands of Africa... stuck in his garage and left until his death in 97' where I inherited it. Noticed that it still had the duffle cut stock and bayonet wired to it so he didn't loose it. And where I put it back together and noticed that there was still a spent round in the chamber for all those years. That is the only one I don't shoot. The PS90 still is going to be my goto gun after I SBR it even if it doesn't get shot as much. Hopefully, it will be passed on to my son one day?
Sorry about the long post about nothing. Just wanted to thank you all for chiming in and saving my from buying a turd that has happened to much to mention. cough*highpoint*

Had ps90 even before the black one was available. I remember 5.7 forum had tutorial of dying green ps90 into black. I Was Very active there until a [unhappy] banned members started ps90 forum ( I believe it is now fn forum).
Wow, that was like 12+ years ago.
Funny that green ps90 and fs2000 came out before the black one. I bet green ones are more rare now.

That's a great picture. I can see the inspiration for the gun now.
I ended up getting a Ruger 22/45 mk4 with a threaded barrel. Its a nice suppressor host and it will serve me well I think. I have been a Browning Buckmark kool-aid drinker since 2000. So I'm looking forward to learning more about the other .22 shooter that people love. I don't know why but my wife accused me of loving Ruger without an end. She asked why I always buy them? I have a 10/22 and now this one. I don't know what she is getting at? Thank goodness she is beautiful.

If you want an FS2000, get one. It's only money, you can always make more.

I have 2 MSAR STG-556s, and they run like a top. In answer to Vectorsc's comment about avoiding them, out of all the research I have done, the biggest issue that most people run into is trying to run shitty steel ammo through them. MSAR having gone through Chapter 11 makes it hard to recommend buying them now though, Ratworx provides parts and advice, but the manufacturer is gone.

All in all though, my vote for a bullpup goes to the Tavor.

You silly goose. Nobody runs a stock trigger.

Also, I did notice the stock trigger on the X95 was an improvement over the original Tavor.
