I have an out of state guy interested in buying from me, but am not sure how much local FFLs charge to ship handguns. (I know shipping by UPS is very pricey for non-FFLs.) Anyone know who is cheap in metro Denver?
You have a couple of options. You can ship it yourself via UPS or Fed Ex, both will require you to ship it overnight and to an FFL. You don't need to be a FFL to ship it however an FFL can ship USPS ground which will be cheaper but you are going to have to pay them to do it. Usually around $20-30 plus shipping and insurance cost. Now I'm not telling you how to ship it but if you take it apart you could ship it via ground and just tell them that it is gun parts and insurance for the value of the firearm.

$30 - $40 average. A call to a few ffl's would get the exact cost, using a FFL needs to include transfer fees too. Last OOS hand gun i did, there was an extra $40 to cover shipping and transfer fees.
There is an online site that offers lower priced shipping, but I've been looking thru my email and cannot find it. I thought they were associated with Buds guns. I found one called shipmygun. Bottom line....you may want to google to see what's out there.
I've never been charged more than $40 for an ffl to send out an item, and that was for a high dollar rifle, it arrived exactly as shipped.
Give Damage Factory a call.
