Again this year Burris Optics, a Colorado Company, is the main match sponsor for the Rocky Mountain Regional Steel Challenge Championship. 25-26 May 2018.

Burris has put over $5,000 on the prize table. Prizes are given out via random drawing. This is a cash payback match with all profits going back to the top shooters in divisions with 10 or more shooters.

Like previous years the match will be held at the Pueblo West Sportsmans Assn range in Pueblo, Colorado and it is open to the public.

Shooters under 16 shoot for free.

You can shoot up to four different guns for match score.

We will set up all 8 Steel Challenge stages. Total round count is a minimum of 195 rounds.

Those that are shooting the IDPA-SSP division (USPSA Production is comparable) a cover garment is not required. However all other IDPA gear rules/requirements apply.

Pistol Caliber Carbine (yes, we were trend setters) will again be offered.

Fridays match will be open squadding and shooting can start as early as 11:00. Saturdays match starts at 8:00.

Lunch is provided for Saturday shooters.

I still have a few slots available so hurry up and get those apps in before the price increase on 10 May.

If you have not received an email confirmation from me, I have not received your application.

Burris has once again put a lot of $$$ on the Prize Table and this is a CASH PAYBACK match. All the money left after expenses goes back to the shooters.

Less than a month away from the match. Lots of goodies on the prize table and lots of cash to division winners.

You only have a few days to get those applications in the mail before the cost goes up. Don't drag your feet.

As of today all confirmations have been emailed out. If you have not received a confirmation email from me, you aren't in the match.

I would also like to spectate if possible.

Depending on schedule, I'd be happy to help setup/teardown as well.

Thanks,

Thanks,

You are more than welcome to come out and watch.

I start setting up Friday morning around daybreak. Teardown happens Saturday afternoon when we finish shooting, usually around 1:30-2:00. Three to four hours to set it all up nice and 100% perfect. 15 minutes to tear it all down and put it away.

Last year was very fun, great people, some amazingly fast shooting occurring. Unfortunately I'm working on both days this year.

If anyone is sitting on the fence about this, get out and go! Hoser always puts on great events and the people you will meet are a part of that.

Another match is in the books. Thanks to everyone that came out to shoot with us.

For the 4th year in a row, Burris has been the match sponsor putting several thousands of dollars of gear on the prize table. Please think of Burris, a local Colorado company, when you need optics.

Those of you that shot the match, please reach out to Burris and say thank you for supporting you.

I could not have pulled the off match again without the help of everyone, especially Charlene Jones who stepped into the Assistant Match Director role even though she was already busy in the statsshack.

Next month we will again host a regional steel match, this one the Regional Rimfire Challenge Shooting Assn Match. 12 stages, all rimfire. This match used to be called the Ruger Rimfire and NSSF Rimfire Challenge. Profits from this match will go to Shield616, a non-profit org that buys bullet proof vests and other lifesaving gear
for local first responders. https://www.shield616.org
