Trump in one of his latest tweets is pushing for a 21 age limit among other things.
Traitor.

To all firearms? or just to AR-15's? shotguns included? bolt-action rifles?

Handguns are already limited to 21...so that means long guns would also be limited to 21.
Maybe they should limit Air Soft to 21 while they're at it. Don't want them young adults getting any ideas.
If people are not responsible enough to own a long gun until they’re 21, then that sounds like an excellent argument as to why the voting age and age of enlistment should be raised to 21 as well.

Yep!!!!
Would someone not be able to go into the military right after high school, or would the limit only apply to a draft? If someone can't voluntarily go into the military until 21, what do you expect them to do in the interim?
Instead of nickel and diming away the rights of 18-year olds, why not just change the age of majority to 21? Would 26 be better?
I don’t think they should be changing any of the ages mentioned in this post. But if Dems don’t think that 18 year olds should own firearms because they aren’t mature enough, then I’ll recognize the danger that misguided votes and youthful idiots can cause to our country.

If they raised it to 72 I wouldn't have so much stuff plus at 72 I wouldn't be able to afford it any way !!! [Sarcasm2]

3 more years of school mandatory!!! wait, isn't that free college?
Did I just stumble upon the endgame here?
If kids having access to guns is the problem, then I submit eliminating that access. All schools are now boarding schools. Kids get dropped off there at the beginning of the year, and picked up at the end of the year. Closed campus except for field trips. ALL personal are wanded and have bags checked upon entering, and leaving the school, just like a cruise ship. Problem solved. Plus, parents don't have to worry about the messy, difficult disciplining of their children, or feeding them, or clothing them. They can go to work and focus on their careers just like they wanted in the first place. Don't have to pay an expensive child care provider anymore, all that money now goes to the institution of your choice. Don't have kids, don't pay toward institution. Kids can't bring guns from home to shoot up the school if they aren't allowed home.
Tell us about the uniforms, Uncle Irving!

Isn't this the beginning of Battle Royale, and/or, some sort of weird, John Podesta fantasy? Does the school serve pizza?

I'm thinking something like this.

As most gun grabs are bad ideas. The opposite usually would work. Why not let kids be taught about guns at age 10 so they have education and knowledge about how dangerous they are before they hit puberty and get crazy with hormones.

While that's not a bad idea, knowing how dangerous guns are doesn't stop anyone from being killed by guns. Not in the case of intentional shooting sprees anyway.

I'm beginning to lose my grip on Irving's sarcasm... I can't tell if he's still sarcastic, or if he's gone off the deep end.

That's the evil beauty of it...[Muaha]

That particular post wasn't sarcastic, but it's entirely possible I didn't understand where DOC was going and responded in the wrong direction. The post about boarding schools was mostly sarcastic, but I didn't want to push it too far by pointing out that there was never a shooting spree at Hogwarts.
Of course, I could also just be a Russian bot that needs a slight recalibration.
This may classify as the most progressive thread on the forum. Irving is on a roll.

I've met you, so that's unlikely.
Unless I'm a whacked out Rus-bot as well...
Thanks for blowing my cover. I was going to see how far I could get with the "well, no one here has even met me" line.

The lunacy and blindness of a group of emo's who think gun violence will disappear overnight, because a law raising the purchase age to 21 was passed.
The east coast is over loaded with MS-13 and other S.A gangs who have successfully been removing any opposition to their criminal doings with machetes.
Not seeing a cry for sharp implements to have a MUST BE THIS OLD to Purchase law, kicking around
Go ahead pass the 21 yrs of age. See how long before it's challenged. OR even more interesting, People asking for an Honorable Discharge due to them no longer being trusted to or legally buy a gun similar to what they train with now.
It's a Pandoras Box law. Can't buy along gun till you're 21, can't vote. Can't get a drivers license, get a school loan, credit card. Shit there's lot's of things it will put a crimp in.
I hope it's mostly the push for a nationwide $15 hr minimum wage. Well i'd like to pay you more BUT.....since you're not 21 yet, gonna pass.

I'm sure another law will make people behave. Obviously once you have to be 21 years old nobody under that age would buy or own a gun; that would be illegal. Are the politicians and liberals eating tide pods too? Thats my only explanation for this stupidity.

Think they're doing pod wraps. Fresh pods wrapped in a 2 ply kleenx.

Well it will stop accidents. Not doping confused teens with antidepressants will help with the psycho killing spree thing too.

If you haven’t already stop what your doing, and call your Representatives and Senators and tell them to vocally oppose any and all further infringements of the Second Amendment at the Local, State, and National levels.
*Rep. Ken Buck (R) at
(970) 702-2136
*Sen. Michael Bennet (D) at
(303) 455-7600
*Sen. Cory Gardner (R) at
(303) 391-5777
Call the Republican National Committee at
(202) 863-8500
Tell them enough is enough, we’re done “having the conversation” about “common sense gun control” and shall not be infringed means something last time you checked.

Come on man, you know liberals never leave college. They're called professors.
That's true, they tend to take up residence in Academia...
