What was the date FFL xfers became mandatory in CO? I mean like person-to-person sales, trades, gifts, etc.

TIA

It was actually 7-1-2013...I think. Not that it matters.

Write 5/31/13 on the bill of sale. :D

When were 4473 first required?

BGC’s required here in Illinois similar to the Colorado requirement however for a individual to individual transfer, takes only a phone call or contact with the Ill. State Police on their computer web site and within less than a minute they will give the seller an authorization number. Of course there is still the 24/72 hour wait to complete the transfer but the wait begins when the buyer and seller agree on a price. Beats the hell out of having to pay big bucks to transfer through a FFL like in CO. [blaster]

Yeah, but there's that pesky FOID thing you need. Here it's still cash or CC with I.D.

1968 I think but I don't know when the GCA of 1968 actually took effect.

Of course, 4473's are only required for purchases from FFL's. Until 7/1/13, private Face-to-Face sales (with no 4473) were legal in CO. They still are in many other states.

They still are in CO, too, for immediate family members and with C&R (50yrs old or older) and antique (pre-1899) firearms

At the meeting yesterday with Trump and a handful of weak minded politicians, there was a mention of a strong possiblity of an upcoming requirement for a PERMIT TO PURCHASE firearms. At least the Illinois FOID does acts like a “permit to purchase” as it is needed for ALL firearm transfers, even individual to individual. The IL State Police computer for the FOID system is updated numerous times every day to be current. We shall see.

Shouldn't some ar-15's be C&R eligible soon?

Shouldn't some ar-15's be C&R eligible soon?I was thinking the same thing. This modern weaponry that the grabbers are going after is 60 years old.

Over 8000 1967 and earlier SP1s are, with another 2500 from 1968 qualifying by the end of this year.

I was laughing talking to some family tonight....we have the same “modern day” firearms as the .mil for small arms rifles. From the musket to the ar-15/m4/m16 we have had the same modern day rifle that our boys fighting the good fight have.

July 1st 2013. 7/1/13 is the date. Same with the mag ban.
