This guy in Seattle was "red flagged" for nothing more than open carrying in town and "staring at people through store front windows".

This is gonna get uglier by the week I'm afraid.

ETA: Where did he even get a holster for that?

“He was roaming the hallways with a .25 caliber automatic,” Tony Montana recalled, showing his total ignorance of open carry laws and of guns since handguns are not automatic, but semi-automatic. “And it created a lot of fear obviously because I didn’t know if he was coming after me or gonna just start shooting the place up.”

We're going to take seriously a story in which one of the people interview is named Tony Montana [facepalm]

Or from a writer that doesn't know that some old pistols are called "automatic" and that isn't just an over reacting media?

Seriously though, this is bad juju. I know just carrying an empty holster would get you tackled by cops in the city (Aurora/Denver) about 20 years ago and things loosened up, but even back then they weren't taking all your guns.

I had a little Italian .25 auto at one time. Was a slick little gun.

IIRC, James Bond's first handgun was a Beretta .25. M forced him to turn it in and take the Walther PPK because of how ineffective it would be in a gunfight (Bond's response IIRC was that something went terribly wrong if he was in a gunfight and the Berettta was suitable for his needs -- but M won).

Correct, the Beretta 418 with a suppressor. He had trouble drawing the combo which caught in the waistband of his trousers and resulted in Bond sustaining injuries.

I've got news for ya...tyranny started in Seattle, among other places, long ago. It's nothing new. But this is still bullshit.

What a blast from the past! My Dad used to play LPs of Marty Robbins, Roy Clark, Kenny Rogers all the time when I was growing up.

This has existed for a while in various cities/states but it will get much worse. Rhode Island signed in a similar EO to confiscate guns from suspected "threats" prior to any offense being charged on a subject.

Now if they could just get the keys away from drunk drivers before they can hurt someone...

SEATTLE –  Alexander Mckenzie, a 31-year-old Army veteran who, according to court documents, is being treated for post-traumatic stress disorder, recently had his gun confiscated by the Seattle Police Department even though he had committed no crime.

It’s one of 27 guns seized legally by the Seattle Police Department from 16 individuals since last July under Washington State’s new Extreme Risk Protection Order law.

McKenzie had been acting strange, glaring at customers of a pizza restaurant while carrying his handgun. He now agrees with the firearm seizure.

“I’m grateful that the police got the gun away from me,” McKenzie told Fox News.

Love the Marty Robbins reference. He is by far my favorite country singer of all time. On a side note, I seriously hope he is able to sue the daylights out of that department and win. Of course, being Seattle, that may not bode well.

Umm, so the guy is thanking the cops for taking his gun, why should he sue?
