A Chevy dealer in MN is offering a Cheyenne "Super 10" package on any version of the new Silverado. I really like the green/white on the crew cab and the black/white on the regular cab. $5995 is the price. Damn...it's expensive to be cool. I'd do it if I lived there and was in the market for a new truck.

The old square bodies were so cool. I got two of 'em. Both 454's

Kind of cool but wow, $6k for steel wheels and $1k in stickers.

I'd love to have a Black/White full size Crew Cab (not the sorta crew cab pictured in green/white) with the Duramax.

I was thinking the same thing until I saw it has a lift installed, still about 2-3K to much. Paint is a far better way to go than stickers.

The old square bodies of Chevy and Ford both look amazing to me and why I still drive it. But a $6k option is a little out there to me, that's in the range of what a Diesel engine would cost.

I was hoping you were going to say you found a 70 Yenko in a barn for $1500.00......

Kinda cool in a nostalgic way, but not for $50K...

Now if they were to build an updated 67-72(original body shape) K10 with modern stuff like brakes and fuel injection, but keep the leaf springs and manual hubs, that's be a winner in my book. It might even get me to crack open my wallet.

Diesels in anything newer are $10+K options.

You don't have to spend $50K. They'll do it on any Silverado. Get a WT package and have it done up for right at $38k, or get a fairly nicely equipped LS for right at $40k. Not saying that's chump change...but you don't have to go with a top of the line truck.

I never liked the square body trucks (1979-89.) Probably didn't like them because the square bodies replaced the best looking Chevies ever, the 67-72.

Just for fun, my '71 Blazer:

67-72 were pretty ugly...nothing like the awesome generation before them

I think my favorite was the 59 Apache small window. And I do love that K5 Blazer.

I learned how to drive around 12 in my Pa's 1949 Chevy Pickup.

It wasn't this nice...

It had a railroad tie for a front bumper, and the driver's side door had a tendency to come open on hard right hand turns if you leaned against it.

He used to beep-beep the horn every morning passing by the neighbors up the street on his way into work at Fort Howard Steel and Wire in Green bay, WI. One day, the eldest daughter who was quite the artist, came down when he was otherwise occupied drinking beers with her dad, and painted the Road Runner on the doors.

Have any of you seen the photos of the 2019 Silverado? Chevy's full sized pickup gets round wheel arches for the first time since 1972!

Following Dodge and Ford's lead, they'll be offering a diesel half ton as well.

Not if you modified it to a Chevy.

Lovin' it. Can't stand the squared wheel arches they've been using.

I wish more dealers would do this kind of thing. Not all of the mods will be successful, but it would give us the consumers some other options than simply what comes off the assembly line.

Looks like they borrowed the grill off the Camaro! I like the round wheel wells/arches! 'Bout time...

I saw the red one at Elway's too. Not near as fetching as the ones that started the thread. Those even had the lines to mimic the tailgate styles of the 70's.
