Exactly sixty (60) years ago today, I received my honorable discharge from the U.S. Army.
Boy, those 60 years sure have gone by quickly. [blaster]

Thanks for your service Bob! I enlisted at 18 years old in ‘65, Vietnam in ‘67 and retired as a 1SG in October 2004. E8 over 38 years on my last LES. Brothers like you made it worthwhile.

Actually! Bob Hope did get up to our base/post but I was on duty for that particular event. I was quite impressed when I heard that when Bob Hope came on stage and spotted the entire few rows of front row seats were occupied by only Officers, he announced that the show will not begin until the section occupied by Officers would be replaced with enlisted personnel only. What a guy!!!![blaster]
