Last year I bought a RMR on special from Cabelas. Now I'am having a few problems with it. The dot seems to go out and them come back and flash bright. I replaced the battery, it twice and it still does this. Any one else having this issue?

Running on a MP5.

Thanks

It’s a known issue that’s why they came out with the Type 2. Try to shim the battery with some electrical tape. That’s what I did with mine I have not tried it since I’ve done that so it might not work

Send it back to Trijicon and ask for an upgrade to a Type 2. They obviously know there’s an issue with their Type 1’s.

Now I just want to see pictures of the MP5 with your RMR on it.

I think they will just send you a base plate

Another popular and multipurpose fox for the type 1:

Put a dab of shoo goo on the bottom of the battery (side that doesn’t touch optic) and a thin bead around edge of optic. Tighten down, wipe excess. Dries like an easier to remove RTV and completely water seals while giving the battery a soft squishy buffer to ride in recoil

Anyone running a RMR equipped weapon should take a look at the write up Sage Dynamics did. There are some excellent trouble shooting tips in there.
