The delusional left is at it again. This time they're trying to cut off groups like the NRA and SAF at the knees.

BUT... It's for the CHILDREN!!!
Apply that to whichever side of the argument you wish...
This seems to be criminal in some way shape or form to me. Surely someones' rights are being violated here. Although, since it is coming from CA I'm not overly shocked.

These commie a$$h##les will try anything to kill this country.
I guess the next cultural revolution will be patriots demonstrating in the streets to overthrow the commies and take back the country in the old school way.

Precise why Democrats cannot be trusted. They don’t give a damn about anyone who does not conform to their worldview. It is all about people control and enslaving people to their wants and whims. We have to confront them and vote them out of office at very opportunity.

It's not legal for them to try and make it illegal to donate to these groups is it?

It's Commifornia, they make their own version of legal...
a quick read of the article and I concluded they're trying to outlaw raffles of firearms.. so the title is a bit misleading.
I'm sure they want the same fed powers of the commerce clause.
but out there in the far left, they pass all kinds of unconstitutional laws to see what will be challenged, what will hold up, etc... we've had discussions here about where the founding fathers went wrong...
#1 is that violating the constitution has no teeth.. there should be SEVERE penalties for writing, passing, upholding unconstitutional laws...
IMHO, at the very least any politician who drafted a SINGLE unconstitutional law is immediately stripped of their office and barred from public office for life. Next level would be the same for any politician who voted for the legislation. (this would result in HUGE house cleaning when the SCOTUS rules, which may mean they'd be shy to rock the boat, and would be bought).
There are lots of other ideas that were thrown about, but that was my biggest take-away

This measure merely tries to scare or bully organizations that don't have the legal/monetary reserves to fight the fact that they are trying to outlaw the legal raffling of legal prizes (and I'm sure all the fliers and tickets reiterate that all winners must be legally able to possess, etc., said prizes, etc.).
I would really like to see someone challenge this on the basis of restricting legal goods/products as raffle items, before this ever gets legs. That would be a good win for our side, but we all know it won't stop them from trying something else.

ugh! this crap is what is motivating me to want to go to law school.
I want to be that attorney that runs to court and files a lawsuit, motion to dismiss, TRO or whatever I can do to be a pain in the ass to these anti-gun libtards and challenge anything and everything.
But can't put the cart before the horse. First step is paralegal school (hoping to start in August/September) and getting good grades. Then applying to law schools and getting accepted (hopefully CU or DU as my primary choices...out of state if I don't get accepted) and then doing the work to get through it. Long road ahead.

Can someone find me the stats on gun crimes committed with guns won at raffles?
Every day I wake up and am shocked to hear CA has not declared its independence.
OTOH... Maybe it's good they're wasting their time on this?
