Does anyone have the Auto-5 book that details the Serial #'s and years? I inherited an Belgium FN made, Auto-5, Twenty. Serial # has an "OZ" followed by "45124" below.

I looked on the Browning website but I don't see any reference to the "OZ" part of the stamp.

Just curious what year I'm looking at here.

Need to clean it up a bit, but it's in fairly good shape.

The A-5 info I have, the Light Twenty made with serial numbers starting with zero (o)Z, indicates 1960 manufacture. They don’t give any other numbers for each year. So, if yours is a 20ga it is likely made in 1960.

A-5 SHOTGUN - 20 ga.
L t. Wt. 20
1958 8Z Introduced
1959 9Z
1960 0Z
1961 1Z
1962 2Z
1963 3Z
1964 4Z
1965 5Z
1966 6Z
1967 7Z
1968 68Z
1969 69Z
