Tired of fighting the never ending wind while trying to get accurate baseline set-ups on my 22 rifles. Any INDOOR ranges in metro Denver area with 50+ yards that general public can use/rent? I know about Blu-core (just did not have a good time there) and Cherry Creek private club 100yd tube (let my membership there expire about a decade ago).

Thanks in advance

Open to the public?

Liberty Firearms has up to 100 indoors, in Johnstown if I remember correctly. Magnum Shooting Center is south of Monument, also has 100 yards.

I have never been to either location, but they are open to the public. Even though they are not in the metro area proper, they're not too far.

Thanks Rocket!

Anybody else?

5280 Armory has a 50 yard section (2 lanes), not sure what their restrictions are as to caliber on that section of their range.

Just go to Liberty! It is very nice and they have an In door 100yd range.

Will they waive the stupid background check fee if i show them my CCW?

Background check fee? To use a range?

Yep, they do a background check to use the range. IMO, total bullshit, but it's their range and they make the rules. They WILL NOT waive the fee regardless of ccw or anything else. I tried.

Hmmm - well, fuck 'em! Not that I'd be driving to Johnstown to shoot indoors anyway. But that's total horseshit.

Cherry Creek State park shooting center has a 100 yd outdoor range. The range is walled off so wind shouldn’t be an issue.

No just the typical safety waiver or something along those lines.

Its a requirement from the Town, not Liberty's idea.

That sounds more like a convenient excuse the range gives out for the stupid policy.....

Isn't that membership only though?

Exactly why I didn't mind it. I know I'm good, but I don't want some gang banger with 3 felonies and a stolen gun next to me and my girlfriend.

If your open for the drive, I’ll give another plug for Magnum in COS.

I’m a member but shot there pretty frequently before I joined.

I shot at Magnum to dial in my Lithgow LA101 rifle and find which rimfire round shot best.

They have shooting bags, shooting rests, lead sled and spotting scopes available on a first come first serve basis.

Is the background check/fee every time you go, or once a year? And do the 100 yd. indoor ranges allow highpower rifle?

Once ever. My buddy shoots his 50 cal there, plenty noisy on an indoor range.
