Way too expensive, have no need for it, not in the budget...but would be fun to have.

Pity it doesn't take a Glock 33 round magazine for max #mallninganerdness.

No way that thing is a better axe than a real axe or a better hammer than a real hammer.

I like it, and it is super clever. But I don't think I could own it, and not feel silly owning it. And sure as heck not for that price. it is crazy how much buy in he has. I think $250 is about the max I'd pay if a pretty girl was selling it. I wish them luck.

Yeah, that looks like shit would get bent out of spec for folding etc real quick.

An MSRP of $1000 for all the features? Pass.

Anyone know where I can get a way over engineered, and probably over-priced tool that will help me if I ever find myself trapped in a forest full of trees no larger around than my wrist?

EDIT: For $500, this should come with a custom laser engraving of "__________ is a fucking moron for buying this!" on the tool, and the case.

I give it a grade of "meh" I'm a gadget fan and am not even remotely interested in this. Seems pretty gimmicky.

Smallest axe I've ever seen.

I think I’ll stick with my small forest axe, and silky saw. They have never let me down. The shovel looks pretty useless, and I’d rather have the Swiss Army knife in the magazine then the knife they put in the handle, the axe will do most of what that one will. Some things just are not worth saving the 2-3 oz on esp when your life may depend on it.

Yes I know those who have met me will say what does a fat man know about this... lol but there was a time I lived for the outdoors , and there will be again soon.

I agree here. If it was $75, maybe it would be worth throwing under the seat of the truck. But the price tag is [LOL]

I just showed this to a 10 year old. He was not impressed. It reminded me of this youtube video.

The price is total nonsense.

To each his own for tools I guess.

I asked the wife for a Pulaski for Christmas. After questioning why in the world I "needed" one, she ended up checking that off my wish list.

Well, she asked me to get rid of an old tree today. Guess that Pulaski turned out to be useful after all. It made quick work of the old tree and helped me easily remove the stump.

Maybe now she won't question me the next time I tell her I "need" an obscure tool. ;)

Yah, I was thinking just buy a Pulaski when I read the kickstarter bull.

Yah, I was thinking just buy a Pulaski when I read the kickstarter bull. For real.

The Pulaski I got is a shorter version better suited for camping and home use than it is digging fire lines. It even has a full steel end cap if you need to hammer something. So yeah, it does everything this Kickstarter thing does but better. For less than a 1/3rd of the kickstarter price. Is it light? Nope, but who's legitimately going to throw a 3.5lb transformer tool in their backpack anyway? No one. And this sort of tool needs weight to effectively do what it's supposed to do.

172 backers at $100k. That's insane.

Most successful Kickstarter campaigns are already funded before they announce and anything they get over the goal is a bonus. There is no way 172 random people funded this because they thought it was a great idea.
