"Stand your ground. Don't fire unless fired upon. But if they mean to have a war, let it begin here." -Captain John Parker, April 19, 1775, on Lexington Green.

And later today, future adults will be... Stoned on The Ground.

While walking out of school to protest the constitutional rights of American citizens.

I was higher than many people today.

But only because I actually went to work.

I was lower...but only because I actually went to work. The weekend can't come soon enough.

Damn right stand your ground. But keep your damn finger off the trigger if you're not shooting at someone and learn how to properly reload your rifle.

I found the book "April Morning" by Howard Fast a very good read. It tells what happened from the point of view of a young adult colonialist that participated in the fighting that day. It is a short book that won't take a lot of time to read.

Never read that, though I've read some of Fast's other works. I remember Philip Caputo quoted the book as a chapter header in his own autobiographical work, "A Rumor of War".

Just browsed some more quotes. Looks like an interesting book.
