Anyone know what is/was happening in old Aurora this afternoon?

I saw at least 3 dozen or so police vehicles scattered about blocking off streets between Dayton and Havana, from 6th Ave south to about 2nd or so, at least.

Just looked into it. Not my neighborhood, anyway. Mine stops at 6th. Activity was in Sunnyvale neighborhood.

I was thinking...it must be a day that ends in "Y".

Not at that saturation level, over that wide an area, typically though.

more or less was just wondering if there might have been a lot of traffic and thats why there was a lot of cops in that area directing traffic and keeping it flowing?

just a thought.

Not directing traffic. This was securing the area type of RE-directing traffic.

Thre are settings on the Nextdoor feed that will allow you access to neighboring community news. I use mine to watch the drama of the Willow Creek community hand-wringers; you could keep an eye on yours to see what police activity there is in soe of your nearby neighborhoods.

Maybe I'll give it try.

Thanks for all the input.

At this point, I think it may have been an arrest warrant for a murder suspect?

Couldn't find a thread on Nd, but I created a post and got a reply that it was a manhunt for 2 armed robbery suspects who, apparently, are still at large.

Great.

Thanks for all the input folks.

Grey, I may be reaching out to you for some navigation tips if I continue to participate on Nextdoor.

You betcha. Nextdoor has drama on it, but there are also invaluable tips to be had. Just send me a PM if you need any help.
