We plan to grill/bbq so if everyone could bring a dish or contribute hot dogs, hamburger or buns and beverages that would be appreciated.


If you bring a dish that requires heating up please bring it in an aluminum foil pan so it's safe to put on the grill and heat up. They are cheap at King Soopers or Wal-Mart.

If someone from Denver area wants to ride up with me, I have room for one up front in the mustang plus a soft case or rifle bag and ammo can or two in the back.

There are many factors involved here. Foxtrot & Hoser can likely identify the requirements better, but, to my understanding, once the site officially endorses a shooting event we accept certain liabilities and responsibilities.
Off the top of my head, I believe the following applies:
* We'd have to ensure site staff are on site at all times.
* We'd need participants to sign Hold Harmless / non-liability / participate-at-own-risk letters.
*We'd need to ensure we had competent (preferably certified/trained) RSO's actively involved.

I'm sure there's more, but it's outside of my area of expertise.

As fellow shooters, we're always happy to see our members get together to enjoy our common hobby but "sanctioning" the events is a whole nother matter.

Thank you all, that was a "literal" blast! :) Thank you to CoGirl for organizing and cooking and to everyone else that that participated! Great way to spend a Sunday!

I had a great time and got to handle and shoot a lot of guns I had never handled before. Triggers, scopes, bullpups, AKs, pistols, and more. It was certainly an adventure in getting up there too, but that's half the fun as someone said.

Electroman thank you for the great tip of picking out an object in the berm and watching where the bullet hit. That helped me so much in zero'ing my rifles as previously I was so far off that I couldn't tell where I was hitting. I'm finally putting bullets on target, and I couldn't be happier. :)

The highlight of the show had to be Beast with CoGirl's Binary Trigger. He could really make that thing sing. :)

Learned a bunch, and great group of folks... had a blast, thanks. Lets do it again some time soon. :)
