Seems like I remember a company in Salida CO that buys old brass, give you a store credit against future purchases...... Box it up and mail it to them....

I have accumulated about 30 pounds of .223/5.56mm brass, range pick up, some once fired, some reloaded. Nothing I can use since I am all set with matched LC once fired stuff, but would like to sell this stuff off.........

Have googled, and haven't found anyone who will take this stuff off my hands. I would not reload it (some of it at least) so its strictly scrap. The metal scrap yards typically don't like to take spend cartridge brass.

Help is appreciated, thanks in advance.

I've only ever sold scrap brass to the metal yards. The yards down here consider it to be clean yellow brass. Just make sure you don't have anything ferrous mixed in when you take it (shotgun primers or Wolf steel cases, for example).

I think the Salida place you're thinking of was Brass Bros. or Top Brass.

Same family runs/ran both.

ETA: You might also check with Colorado Wholesale Brass (used to be part of Golden Recycling)

The scrap guy in town is paying $1.85 per . Probably more with a denver scrap yard.
