The woman that cuts my hair, 9 years now and those of you that know me don’t laugh, is moving out of state to be with her health challenged mother. She loves Colorado and knows she’s going to miss living here. Need some ideas, serious ones please lol, for a gift that will keep Colorado in her heart and mind. Budget up to $75 or so. Thanks for the help.

If she has to take care of family. Nothing short of offering to pay her moms health care here, will keep her.

Not looking for her to stay here, just a nice gift to say thanks and help her think of Colorado.

I give these to my clients at Xmas time, they love them. if you call them they will create a custom basket for you, just explain the relationship and what her profession is and they will come up with something awesome. I would imagine if you gave her a basket of Colorado made soaps and skin care stuff she would be ecstatic. I sent a basket like that to the office of one of the builders I work with and I got a thank you from every girl that works in their office.

Since she’s moving probably doesn’t need more clutter. She could use extra money since she’s moving.
Slip her 50 bucks or a gas gift card to help out with her travels.

I have a very close relationship with the people who cut my hair. I can count three in the past 18 years.

Make it personal and uplifting. She is going to take care of her Mother.

If I could find a green chili of the month club...

A gift basket of foodstuffs from Colorado; Colorado-made soaps and skin care items (not clutter to a woman's point of view, if there aren't to many. She can also share with her mom) are also nice. Something personal that will remind her of home.

It might be a hair above your intended budget, but I would look in to getting her a gift certificate for a spa day or for her to get a manicure / pedicure in the area she’s moving to as she’s going to appreciate some “me” time to get away from mom

Nah, I only pay $66 for a full "deluxe" mani/pedi for my wife.

This seems like a great idea, there is no shortage of "Colorado Proud" food items for sale, maybe some good salsa, jerkies, etc. There is a neat little "General store" in downtown Littleton that sells some pretty neat local items.

Good idea, I’ll stop in there this weekend and see what they have. Leaning away from food gifts as I’d like her to have something lasting but who knows.

Thanks for the suggestions.

Just found a book, “Colorado Wild and Beautiful” by photographer Glenn Randall. Should do nicely, thanks again for the various ideas.
