I can't understand for the life of me how this continues to happen...but for it to be the police chief who left a firearm where a toddler can get their hands on it...just blows my mind.

Senseless, tragic and completely preventable. [emoji22][emoji26][emoji20]

Wow...truly saddens me to see stuff like this happen. The article wasn't specific, but it appears as though his son lived (thank God). This is a very hard lesson that NO gun owner should ever have to experience. If my gun isn't on my hip, it's locked in my safe. Let's use this experience as a reminder of how fragile life is and how quickly it can be snatched out from under us. Firearm safety is paramount. Never leave it to chance.
