Driving by on I-70, it looks like this is close to ready with shelters and berms in place. This is going to be a great shooting facility that likely will attract events and shooters from across the state and region, not just the Grand Junction area. The complex is by the Colorado River just off I-70 at the Cameo exit, a few miles east of Palisade. It is visible from the highway. I thought I'd pass on this news release that the CPW is looking for volunteers to fill a variety of positions including Range Safety Officers, Range Ambassadors, facility maintenance, construction and fabrication, event support and education. They are looking for folks from the Grand Junction area (within easy driving distance to the range).
I understand that there is a separate 900+ yard range on location that they're looking to expand to 1000 yards.
